Josh Allen is an exciting young player for the Bills. He had a good rookie season and will doubtless be improved next year. Bills fans can be happy they have a developing young talent who will probably become a franchise quarterback.

Agreed Extra and thanks for the highlights Lightning! Allen showed amazing grit and athleticism this year working with a woefully bad group of skill players and a sumo dominated OL.

Bills need to right the ship up front to protect their young gunslinger. Draft any of the 3 Badger OL, Max Scharping of NIU, or perhaps Bama's Jonah Williams or Clemson Mitch Hyatt.

It's a shame Riley was purged from the roster, would have been a sweet connection between him and Allen.

Obviously a very small sample size, but Allen averages the most yards per carry of any QB in NFL history with 75+ carries. His 7.09 yards/carry is above Vick’s 7.00 and Locker’s 6.78. Allen also averages 52.6 yards rushing per game, which is 10 yards per game more than Vick.

Agreed. a priority for the Bills should be to get strong on the offensive line. To me a strong offensive line is so important spending your first three draft picks on it is worth it if the player grades warrant it.

Thanks for sharing this as I hadn’t seen him play in any large sample size yet. Really impressive, maybe even more so than Mayfield as he has a far worse supporting cast.

His cannon arm and running abilities are apparent but I was most impressed with his pocket awareness. He looked like a magician escaping the collapsing pocket more times than I could count and he had a great sense of where the pressure was coming from. Those instincts are hard to teach. Reminiscent of Big Ben except Big Ben never had the ability to gash you for 50 yards once he alluded pressure.

Super exciting to see what levels Allen can reach with better receivers and an improved offensive line!
