With the injury to Ryan Grant Coach Mike McCarthy said that going into the Buffalo game that Jackson is the 1st string tailback and that John Kuhn would be the 2nd string tailback. He said that "John has done a very good job with limited oppurtunities. Every time you put the ball in John's hands he's been productive. He's our third halfback and will be the second halfback goin into Buffalo."Finally white players might be getting the breaks that they so richly
deserve. Give em hell John white power roll on down that hill.

It would be nice to see him get some carries with a FB blocking for him, which he didn't have for his carries yesterday.

I'll keep an eye on the Pack beat writers to see if they go for the "get one off the streets" shtick.

Good luck with that Don, maybe the DWFs are minority but they set the terms of the debate and having a fullback block for John on more than a few "gimmick" plays is asking more than the coach can deliver and not face a serious attack. At the Milwaukee Journal the best I can say about the forum comments is that they are not ripping John, but we know the drill if he does not avg 4.5yds a carry they are gonna want the coach and the GM's heads.

Here's to hoping Jackson goes down with an injury or falls out the back of a moving pick-up while fighting with his girl.

I remember Kuhn from his days as a star tailback at Shippensburg University. Kuhn is about 4 years older than I am, but he played high school and college football around the same time (and in the same region of PA) as I did. He set many rushing records in high school and college. He was undrafted and subsequently jerked around by the Steelers' Bill CowTurd. Mike McCarthy gave him a fair chance"¦.and he has shined whenever called upon.

Now that he and Brandon Jackson are the only remaining ball carriers, Kuhn may have finally cracked the walls of this crooked little system. Then again, Ahman Green still has a pulse"¦

Amen brother how fast is Kuhn? I am guessing around 4.55 or is it more or less?

Looks like Ryan Grant is going on IR and will be done for the season. Maybe, just maybe, Kuhn like Hillis will start getting a significant number of carries as BrandonJackson is a run of the mill back (actually he's a bust considering he was drafted in the second round).

Gerhart is healthy now too. Could be the first week in a long long time with three different White men"allowed" to run the ball, emphasis on the word "could." Brian Leonard should be back soon as well.

I'm thinking it's time for the (not-so) triumphant return of Ahman Green (again) as mentioned by Mr. Thrashen.

Weenieworld has already triumphantly consigned Kuhn to irrelevance. Any black running back, no matter how bad,is considered far superior to a White running back. No agenda here, no prejudice, no stereotyping:

The Packers reportedly have plans to sign RB Dimitri Nance off the Falcons' practice squad to take Ryan Grant's roster spot. Picture a poor man's Jason Snelling. Nance is a bigger back with a nice hands and short-yardage potential. He would function as Brandon Jackson's backup until sixth-rounder James Starks comes off the PUP list at mid-season.

Kuhn has to make the most of his opportunity this Sunday. He needs to run hard but try and not fumble the ball. The media will jump at that calling for a new affletic back. Good luck toJohn, I'm sure he's stoked at the chance he is going to get. Like Thrashen said, it's been a long hard road for him.

There is no way a practice squad guy is above him in the depth chart. He may be screwed because of his value as a fullback though. Green Bay uses a diamond back field. I haven't seen a backfield like that since the Lombardi era. Edited by: white is right

I agree this week and possibly longer Kuhn is the #2 back. I really beleive that McCarthy is aware of the caste system , and he will give Kuhn some significant carries. I don't think all coaches have their heads up their preverbial asses.

Never looked at Roto-rooter til coming on this website...

The little bit of Packers pre-season I saw Kuhn looked more than capable of plating tailback!

Looks like somebody is dealing in more reality...but they had to use the teerm "no brainer"...so positive & negative all wrapped into one...
FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer reports Ryan Grant is done for the season with severe ankle and leg injuries. Grant's high ankle sprain also resulted in a fracture near his knee. He's expected to be placed on injured reserve, turning the backfield over to Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn. Any waiver wire debate this week over, with Jackson now the no-brainer choice. Though he's been a picture of health until this week, Grant's Green Bay career is now at a crossroads. Turning 28 in December, Grant has escalators in his contract that the Packers likely won't want to pay in 2011. He'll have to restructure to stay on.

Sorry have no idea why box is so big??

Kuhn gets ripped by a Milwaukee newspaper, using the old "unnamed executive" ploy:

Some personnel people for other teams can't understand why coach Mike McCarthy intends to use fullback John Kuhn as his No. 2 running back behind Brandon Jackson.

"I don't know why they keep bringing up that he's a running back," an executive in personnel for an NFC team said Thursday. "Did anybody watch him in preseason try to run? He's not even a good fullback."

Kuhn, in his sixth season after entering the league as a free agent from Division II Shippensburg, shrugged it off.

"As far as I'm concerned, we're here to win games," he said. "We're not here to win popularity contests. People think we're something or maybe something else. We're a team. We're 53 guys."

Jackson, who will start for injured Ryan Grant on Sunday against Buffalo, said Kuhn will assume some of his snaps as the third-down back. Kuhn said he was well-prepared for all protection calls.

"You know, I am (excited), I really am,"Â￾ said Kuhn. "With Grant going down it's a very hard blow to the team and the locker room, but somebody's got to step up. Maybe a couple of us. We'll see."Â￾

Kuhn, who has maintained his weight of 250 pounds, hasn't run a 40-yard dash in years. If fresh, Kuhn estimated he could clock in the 4.7s.

We're supposed to believe that reporters are scrambling to interview other teams executives for their opinion of John Kuhn's running ability? This is sounding more and more like a psych-ops operation than just simple happenstance. This "personnel executive" ploy seems to be only done to our players. Surely other personnel executives must think Brandon Jackson sucks. As well as Bernard Berrian, Mike Tolbert, Joe McKnight, Tony Richardson, Byrant Mckinney, Knoshawn Moreno, Ted Ginn Jr.......etc. Where are their "secret" reports?Edited by: Kaptain Poop

I'm not worried about it. Reading my local Wisconsin newspaper it sounds like McCarthy thinks he has a strong enough team around Kuhn and Jackson that he can afford to get them both carries and mix things up. You have to think that Kuhn would be a better runner(more agility and quickness) if he was playing at around 240 not 250-255.

Of course, straight of the the cultural marxist playbook. They do this all the time.
Completely made up garbage, all part of the agenda and soft propaganda to belittle White players.
You see, White players succeeding at anything other then QB, Kicker, or perhaps LB (sometimes) is frowned upon by our media friends....this might actually persuade White fans and young White kids that their heroes can be White as well.

Not part of the plan for the media and corporatist elements.

Kuhn will continue to play well and fill in as needed. More false reports will start to be published because the media and NFL are starting to see the cracks appearing. Especially all the amazing White college RBs, WRs and LBs who strangely vanish in T.C. and/or never get serious looks from black worshiping caste scouts and coaches.

They don't want the DWFs to catch on to the agenda.
Although this is happening more and more.

Its "Lynchapalooza" on the Packers DWF sounding boards, but even there there are voices of sanity, mentioning that world class athlete Lynch managed 3.8yds a carry versus Kuhn's 4.0 (which is Lynch's career avg.)

    Compare and contrast"¦

    1) Brandon Jackson is a 2nd round bust who was selected despite rushing for less than 1,500 yards in his entire collegiate career at Nebraska. He failed to win the starting job over then-nobody free agent, Ryan Grant (and the other random scubs on the roster). He has fumbling issues and has had putrid rushing totals.

    2) John Kuhn was a record-setting tailback in Pennsylvania. He wasn't recruited by any major colleges (unprecedented for a white athlete, I know), so he accepted a scholarship from the Shippensburg Red Raiders. He rushed for 4,685 yards, he scored 53 touchdowns, and he had 26 100-yard rushing performances.

The official corporate "retort"Â￾ is all too obvious"¦"Well, Division II accomplishments mean nothing."Â￾ Fine. What about Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes, who played at the same school as Kuhn? He's started several games for the Falcons and has played quite well. Add the fact that any unbiased observer would certainly agree that Kuhn has obviously outplayed Jackson in the first two games, despite his limited opportunities.

This anonymous "executive"Â￾ declined to attack a pampered black bust from a successful Big Twelve school"¦and decided to randomly ridicule an undrafted, unwanted, unknown "nobody"Â￾ from a Division II school with obvious talent, better production, and who makes substantially less money.

"Rooting for the Underdog"Â￾ is only pertinent when said underdog is not a straight white male. As Don frequently mentions"¦white NFL players are glorified junkyard dogs. I hope Kuhn smashes opposing defenses (and the caste system which has waged war against him) to proverbial pieces this season. I want to watch the corporate media writhe with jealously as he scores, again and again.

Guys I figured out the deep throat source. It's the Bills GM or Personnel Director. They want to unload Lynch and they have a stellar history of drafting quality picks.... [IMG] Edited by: white is right

Well that DWF intern who mans the phones at the front desk and shouts "Yo wassup dawg" to all his favorite black idols if they happen to walk by before spending the next two hours calling all his DWF friends and gossiping about it like high school girl, ummm, I mean unnamed team personnel guy is definitely right. Running backs with 4.7 speed haven't carried the ball since all the way back in the days of LeRon McClain, Mike Tolbert, and Jason Snelling. [IMG]
