He is a Brian Leonard clone, how the Skins couldn't find room for him I will never know. The Skins even invited his old man to camp to watch reps(his dad is in CFL management with Hamilton). It was like dark forces were at work maybe the ghosts of Nixon and Agnew took over the Turks job.....

how was he cut? it's simple...he has a skincondition that is prohibitive for the tailback position in the NFL, and nearly anywhere in America once you leave high school.

if you watch him run and catch, he is almost identical in style to Shaun Alexander, one of the most productive backs in the NFL, except Lumsden can block a little bit. they are also of similar size and build. if you put long sleeves on them and put them in the same uniform, then let them do their thing, you'd have a hard time telling them apart. however, you will NEVER hear anyone in the media compare Lumsden to Alexander. they'll use the same old tired cliches of "throwback," or he's like "a smaller, faster Alstott" (which of course means he is nothing like Alstott at all except for skin tone), or "he's the second coming of Brian Piccolo." they will do anything to prevent him being compared to the "real" afaletes of the day...

he was cut because he is white. plain and simple.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

c'mon Jimmy, i thought you'd get used to that by now...

white receiver, tall variety: Ed McCaffrey

white receiver, short: Don Beebe, it's never Jerry Rice or Steve Smith...

runningback - no matter how big, he will be either throwback as in Csonka, Riggins, Taylor or next Alstott...

unless he is real short, as in Tre Smith short. then no comparison is necessary since he won't ever play a down in NFL. smurfs apparently only come in either blue or black...

he's used as a decoy tonight... he has about 8 touches in the first half, what a dumb thing to do, your best player is on a roll, an you use him as a decoy....?

whatever, seems like the ti-cats found another very good white WR. Can't remember his name, he is this year 1st overall pick, and comes from U of Virginia

Brock Ralph only have one catch

10 carries for 45 yards is bad in CFL football.

Here are highlights from Lumsden's games.

are you dumb or what? he is in the WORST team in the CFL and one of the worst OLINE..

That's hard to have TD like other RB when you can't have carry in the redzone..

The Ti-Cats O-Line has been very good lately.

The great thing about Lumsden's performance is that those coaches in the CFL who worship the caste system not out of an inherent anti-white bias, but rather because they honestly feel that blacks make better running backs, these type of coaches may give a white RB an extra look next time around due to the great job Lumsden is doing.

Great game by Lumsden. My favorite run was not his two long TD runs but rather that 15 yard gain when he broke a tackle and then did a sweet spin move. Oh yeah who says white RBs don't have breakaway speed.

Lumsden was named Top Offensive Player of the week in the CFL. Again.

he was also the top Canadian football player, marking the second time this season he has won both honors in the same week.

The accolades keep on coming for Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back Jesse Lumsden. The McMaster University product was named Wednesday the Canadian Football League's top offensive and Canadian player for the second time this season.

Lumsden ran for 211 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries last Friday to help the Ticats win their first game of the season 43-22 over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Lumsden leads the league in rushing with 554 yards [ on only 59 carries! ] and an amazing 9.4 average gain per carry.

he is finally getting the respect and recognition he deserves from his black opponents, too, as this article illustrates: http://www.canada.com/topics/sports/football/cfl/story.html? id=da7a9cde-1bf5-45ec-975b-65422c851185

It's a shame I got to buy a customized jersey of lumsden, when they have the likes of corey holmes available on cflshop.com.. it will cost me some 60 extra bucks, but I'll wear it proudly in the stands on august 25 when I go see him live against my alouettes

If that article is correct, he should put up big yardage in his next game against a porous run defense. Especially if he puts up 200 yards against better competition.

Keep up the good work Jesse, your making us proud.

9.4 yards per, on the lousiest team in the league? Good grief. Add in the fact that they don't really have TEs or FBs in the CFL, plus 12 defenders to avoid, and it makes this stat even more ridiculous.

The NFL is stupid for not giving him a legit shot, just like with Staley. I hope he stays in the CFL and becomes a Hall of Famer there. I'll probably watch CFL more from now on. NFL bores me anyway with it's almost complete lack of big offensive plays, and rocky road ethnic makeup, as opposed to the fudge royal (or neopolitan) of the 70s and 80s.

Lumsden is a great caste exposer.
