I'm watching the Jazz completely dismantle the Lakers, up by 20 just before the half. Kirilenko, Harpring, Curtis Borchardt, just killing the Lakers, except for Mihm who's playing well. Bryant out with foul trouble comes in and drives to the hoop, Kirilenko rejects him but gets the foul, announcer says "look at Kobe make the All-Star Kirilinko look like a club player." Yeah right! next time down the court Kilrilenko erases a Kobe shot, his 5th block of the game, no comment from the announcers. The Jazz have a point guard named Isley, looks like an Iverson clone, cornrows & tattoo's. He looks way out of place. Isn't that great!!! A gansta thug looking out of place on a basketball court.

They had another guy, maybe McCloud or
something, who also had cornrows and tattoos. On
just about any other team it would be clean cut/ crew
cut Harpring and Borchardt who would look out of
place. It was so sweet seeing Kirilenko block both
Kobe and Odom. 8 blocks for him. He was third in
shot blocks and fourth in steals last year. Borchardt
also had three blocks. This is what sports is all
about.

That Jazz team looked like another good team I saw recently---Argentina! I watched Mehmet Okur play with the Pistons for a couple of years and was very impressed. He has very good offensive skills for a European. When the Pistons hired Brown to coach them their line-up turned to "all-brown." Okur was out and Rasheed (I hate white people) Wallace was in. Okur may bloom in Utah.

European players are better than our "thug players." they have a genuine understanding of how the game is played. the have a work ethic and they don't care about self promotion. they listen to their coaches.

Have watched some of the first half of the San Antonio-Lakers game. The Spurs have been excellent at moving the ball around. Ginobili is on the verge of being an unstoppable star. The Spurs have had a fair amount of whites on the floor at all times, up to four, but even the blacks are getting with the program and making some nice passes and anticipatory moves. Blacks are losing their long-time sense of entitlement when it comes to basketball, and they're going to have to learn how to play fundamentally sound basketball if they don't want to be overwhelmed in numbers by the "international" players, which hopefully will happen over time anyway.

I agree.Ginobli is a superstar. He already is averaging 24 points a game so far and I know its early but this kid has no fear.Manu did a crossover dribble that would
make Cousey in envey, and went down the lane for a incredible dunk over 2 Lakers. There were four Lakers around him when he dunked it and they still couldn't stop him.He can shoot the lights out,he had 5 steals on defense, and can jump out of the gym.I love Nesterovic and Brent Barry now makes this a team to watch. They got robbed against the LA Lakers last year in the playoffs.
Tim Duncan is a good guy to and reminds me of players from the past with class like Parrish,Olajuwon, etc. I'm tired of most of the overhyped, thug, crybabies of today.

I don't like Parrish. He cowardly hit Laimbeer from
behind while Laimbeer was going for a rebound.
Broke his nose.

Man, that dunk by Ginobili was so cool. And he got
up in the air so quick, which is probably as important
as how high you jump in basketball. It didn't even
look like he was going to dunk the ball. Just send up
a Steve Nash floater. But in a split second he was
there, throwing it down over Brian Cook and I believe
Brian Grant. And the crossover using just one hand
was great, too.

Ginobili and Kirilenko are the two guys in the NBA
that the media just cannot deny right now. That's
because they're athletic and good defenders, not just
good shooters or big guys.

Hinrich had 32 points in an overtime loss. And
another blowout for Utah. Fun stuff.

Tim Duncan is a great all-around player and a role model as a person. Then you have guys like Latrell Sprewell. If he was capable of anything other than extreme self-absorption and selfishness he would be truly humbled that he is still allowed to play in the NBA instead of being kicked out of the league and maybe doing prison time as well.

After being offered a $21 million three-year contract extension, Sprewell found the offer so offensive he characterized it as "insulting," adding, "Why would I want to help [the Timberwolves] win a title?"

Again, this guy is so dumb, spoiled and egotistical that after being criticized for his remarks he said "a lot of what [the fans] are reading and seeing right now has been spun to favor the organization."

During Minnesota's home opener, according to an article by Bob Sansevere of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Sprewell was booed in the early going, but "the crowd tilted the other way and cheered when he hit back-to-back 3-point field goals in the third quarter."

Typical white fans. They can't stay mad for longer than a few minutes when it comes to their black (anti)heroes.

You're right about white fans. They're always much quicker to boo a white player and to continue to boo him. A lot of the black players, even when accused of extreme criminality, ala Kobe Bryant, continue to be lustily cheered by the fans and often times become even more popular.

He committed a crime (or at the very least a
transgression against his marriage), so he has
street cred now! Before that, he wasn't really black
enough. Since he grew up in Italy, he never really fit
in with black American culture. Then he did...
something in that hotel room, bought his wife a four
million dollar ring, got a bunch of tattoos, and
started a feud with his coach and teammate. Now
he's really black and everybody loves him!

As for Sprewell, what a baby. "I can't feed my family"
with nine million dollars a year! Boo hoo! He should
go somewhere with extreme poverty, like India or
China, or even here in America (like the
Appalachias), look them right in the eye, and say
that. Hopefully somebody would choke the s*** out
of him like he did to his coach.

How about this quote from Jason Richardson of Golden State on why the team should extend his contract: "I've represented this franchise in dunk contests, the Rookie Challenge, the stuff at All-Star weekend. I think it's time for them to be loyal back to me."

Can these guys be any more selfish and out of touch? But it's the system that makes them that way.

He does it again.Kirelenko with 24 points and I guess what you would call a average game, only 5 blocked shots!
If he stays healthy,I don't see any reason why he shouldn't win the defensive mvp of the whole league. He
is so gifted at blocking shots with either hand!Unlike
anyone that I have seen in many, many, years.

That left handed block was unbelievable. Anthony
got him in the air with the pump fake, then when
Anthony stepped in, Kirilenko recovered and blocked
the shot with his left hand. That's an almost
unblockable shot when you get the defender in the
air. One of the best I've ever seen. And the other
great play was when he blocked a shot, went out of
bounds, got back on the floor and intercepted a pass
a couple of seconds later.

And oh yeah, that slam dunk over Marcus Camby
was pretty good, too.

The Jazz blasted defending champs Detroit 108 to 93. Mehmet Okur scored 19 with 7 boards. As I mentioned before Okur was a talented center that got tossed aside when Larry (I only use players with skin that is) Brown took over the team. Rasheed (the racist) Wallace said:

``They made the hustle plays. They beat us on the hustle plays, so you got to tip your hat off to them,'' Wallace said. ``I ain't worried about them. We'll see them again.''

Hustle plays? White guys "hustle", they don't have superior skill. We'll see.

I hope he doesn't mess up Darko. He made some
cracks about him on David Letterman's show; it's
pretty clear that he doesn't like him. Maybe Darko
will pull a Jermaine O'neal and become a star on
another team after being a bench warmer on his first
team for years. Being white, a seven footer, and
picked very high in the draft, he'll get skewered in the
media if he doesn't become a very good player. At
least he wasn't picked number one overall. Even
black players like Michael Olowakandi get ridiculed
when they don't become exceptional players after
being picked number one. And it's a really good
thing that he's not 7'6", so he won't be another
Shawn Bradley- who is undoubtedly the most hated
man in the NBA.

Of course, Brown got the all-black team that he
apparently prefers... in the Olympics. Poetic justice
that they lost to a bunch of white players. heh heh

Hopefully he still has a shot at Defensive Player of
the Year this season. He would be the first white
player since Mark Eaton to get it, I believe. He just
might be my favorite athlete out there right now. Rest
up, Andrei, and come back better than ever.

He is number one in shot blocks by a landslide over Shaq!
That is saying in all in a nut shell. He isn't nearly as
tall or strong but dominates a game defensivley like very
few ever have. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Along with all of JB's items on his Santa's Wish List, I would
also include multiple Defensive of the Year Awards for Andrei
Kirilenko. He may not get one this year due to injury; otherwise
he would've been the odds-on favorite. He's certainly capable
of at least two or three, if not more. And he's very young. Not
since 88-89 have we had a white player win this award (Mark
Eaton, one of the most dominant shot blockers ever, and
predictably underappreciated), so here's hoping that AK47
imitates Podsednik and Wariner and grabs a few.

The Jazz outscored the Lakers 33-19 in the fourth quarter last night to pull off a win. They started four whites (with Kirilenko coming off the bench), and three of the five others who played were white. Matt Harpring is playing well again. It would be great ifUtah contends next year.

The Lakers, who went so long without starting any whites, start center Chris Mihm and F Slava Medvedenko. Luke Walton is averaging just 11.6 minutes per game.

It's good to see this trend in both of these teams. I look forward to watching the whitest NBA team next year in Salt Lake City. I hope the Jazz stay that way.
