Witten is number 13 on the all time receptions list with 943. With a good season he could move into the top 10. Hines Ward sits at number 10 with and even 1,000 receptions.

Witten had a good night against the Giants with 8 receptions/60 yards and 2 TD's moving him into a tie for 12th all time with Andre Reed, (951). With 50 more receptions this year, Witten will move into number 10 passing Hines Ward.

All-time great Jason Witten just had his 1,000th career reception, just the 12th player ever to reach that mark and only the second tight end!

Jason has been a huge groundbreaker for White skill players, along with Wes Welker and Jordy Nelson particularly, but he's peerless at his position as an all-around player. Plus, he's an Iron Man of Favre/Ripken/Peyton and Eli Manning proportions, simply one of a kind who is irreplaceable.

The consensus at the PFRA Forum is Witten will make the HOF.

On what grounds could anyone possibly argue against Witten being elected the first year he is eligible? It would be like voting against Brett Favre, or say Tom Seaver (who has the highest first year percentage of any baseball player elected to Cooperstown). It's a non-starter discussion; the relevant question is if he's the best tight end ever.

Back in 2007, Witten became the first white TE to achieve a 1,000-yard receiving season since Mark Bavaro in 1986. Since Witten’s critical breakthrough that season, we’ve seen Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, and Dallas Clark follow his lead. This season, Kelce and Barnidge have a chance to make the mark, too. I consider Witten, whose ability and demeanor should be the “Prototypical TE†that all teams covet, to be the father of the current “White TE Renaissance.â€

I saw him run a route last night and his speed doesn’t appear to have faded, even after 13 seasons. Aside from football, he’s a great man, husband, father, role model, and community member. A true warrior against the Caste/Marxist/Anti-White establishment’s objectives for the lives of white men…

It may not be obvious to some lurkers who, for their entire lives, have heard white athletes denigrated non-stop.

True, but it's still underestimating his career. Cinch first round selection, or one of the best ever, better fit his achievements.

Thrashen is right about Witten being the father of the white TE renaissance. For a long time, a White TE reaching 1,000 yards receiving seemed even more unlikely than a White receiver doing it. Now we have an array of White stars at the position. Witten was a breakthrough player and a great role model on and off the field.

Right now Witten is number 10 on the all time receptions list with 1,003. However, Fitzgerald is just behind him at 1,000.

He's about to tie the Cowboys most consecutive starts record Sunday. Heres a good article on Negro Felons League dot com, praising him. Not one negative comment from the DWF's.

    "
Witten on franchise starts record: I'm not Hercules

The only Dallas Cowboys player with more career starts than tight end Jason Witten is Ed "Too Tall" Jones, with 203.

But on Sunday, "Too Tall" will have to move over.

The Cowboys tight end, a franchise staple since 2003, will tie the team record for games started once Sunday's action against the Packers gets started. True to form, he doesn't seem to be all that impressed by the feat.

"Yeah, I don't want to make it bigger than it is," Witten said, via The Dallas Morning News. "It's not like I'm Hercules or something."

He added: "I think it's just I love to play football. I think anyone who has ever been my teammate or I've been theirs understands how much I love that."

It's worth mentioning that Witten is just 457 yards behind Michael Irvin for the team's all-time receiving yards record as well, though he won't break that one against the Packers. He's also tied with Dez Bryant for third on the team's all-time touchdown catch list.

Witten's longevity is pretty incredible when you consider that he's also first in team history -- by a wide margin -- in targets and receptions, which means that he's had far more chances to sustain an injury or, at the least, tweak an ankle or shoulder. But Witten hasn't missed a single start since 2006 and has appeared in 15 or more games in every one of his 14 NFL seasons."

Nice find on Witten Bmore Dan. He is a surefire first ballot hall of famer and that stiff arm last week vs. the Bengals was a thing of beauty!

This guy is a living legend. This Sunday Witten can pass Michael Irvin to become the all time leading Cowboy Career Receiver ever. For a T.E. to accomplish this makes it even more amazing. He already has the most receptions ever for a Cowboy and after Sunday will also have the most career receiving yards in team history. Maybe the best tightend ever. Hard to argue but we have a few playing currently who are up there.
