This guy's been bulletproof even though he's a horrible businessman (he bought the CBA and promptly bankrupted it), a terrible coach and GM, and a racist and abuser of women. Wonder how he'll be treated now that this story's broken:
<H1 ="storyTitle">Police chief rebukes Thomas for involving daughter in incident</H1>

NEW YORK -- A suburban police chief likened the conflicting accounts of an accidental overdose at Isiah Thomas' home to a "cover-up" and rebuked the former New York Knicks coach Saturday for saying it was his teenage daughter who required treatment.

Yeah, I never liked Isiah Thomas. And his racist comments about Larry Bird were just ridiculous. Isiah is just jealous his inbounds pass was stolen by Bird in the last second Celtic's victory and that Bird is better than him!

if isiah thomas died in a fire, i wouldn't lose any sleep. in his career as a "coach" and GM, he's screwed over as many white players as many NFL coaches.

Glad to see this cretin finally forced to take a job as the coach of Florida International. Still way above Isiah's level of competence -- after all, the Peter Principle is rarely allowed to apply to blacks in this society -- but quite a ways down from his previous disastrous stints.

When FIU's provost, Ronald Berkman, introduced him as the university's new head coach on Wednesday he said he was "glad to welcome you all and to welcome Isiah Thompson as FIU's basketball coach."

Isiah must be trying to do some damage control. He has donated his first year salary to FIU. Chances are he probably doesn't need it (but then again you never know...). But I think he is trying to do a bait and switch. He'll dazzle them with his smile while he gets ready to stick the dagger into FIU in some way. Get ready for some recruiting violations.

I find it ridiculous how the media refuses to call Thomas a racist. This guy is the worst trash out there.

We all know by now, that only whites can be racist. This is why whites will continue to pander and appease other races, but it will never be enough. Whites can never do enough, the media will continue to look for those white racist dangers to the people out there like Clay Matthews for his inside joke Facebook group. (sarcasm intended)

The racist buffoon was summarily fired today after guiding FIU to a brilliant 26-65 record, another abysmal failure on his record as a coach, GM, and "businessman" (he took over the CBA and promptly led it into bankruptcy). But he has a room brightening smile so in upside down America he'll land on his feet somewhere else to screw things up, count on it.

When you fail at this level of coaching you really can't coach at an elite level. This level is where rookies get their first head coaching gig and if they are successful they move on to elite DI teams or the pros, or older coaches go back to this level and this is their last stop before they collect social security. Since Isiah is about 50 he is in a no mans land and will be lucky to coach beyond the volunteer level...:icon_mrgreen: Unless old friends like Joe Dumars or maybe Bill Laimbeer offer him an olive branch. We know Jordan wont....:icon_mrgreen:
