I have always hated them I blame them for the caste problems we have today if I'm wrong please correct me arn't the Steelers the blackest of all the teams in the NFL? Didn't they start ghetto ball back in the 1970's they were the first team in the NFL to start a black Quarterback in Jefferson Joe Gillom? Not only are they the blackest team but not they have a racist black head football couch? He dilberatly set Rothenberger up to get injued so he could get a black that spot too. PLEASE GOD ANYBODY BUT PITTSBURGH!!!

What's strange is that the Steelers have no problem playing Samoans at non-caste positions.

You could also make a case that Hines Ward is mostly Asian, but I'm sure the Steelers credit his black blood for making him good.

The front four was coal black, and back around 1974-75 the Steelers leaned towards Afro-Sheen rather than Brylcreem, but it was when Jack Lambert solidified his presence and reputation following the 1976 Super Bowl win against the Cowboys that the ghetto nature of the team started getting more suburban and rural. By the late '70s, the mostly-white offensive line, Terry Bradshaw and linebackers Lambert and Ham were very dominant. The afromentioned front four was aging, mulatto Franco Harris had already peaked and this was when the team really clicked across America (late '70s). Cherish those memories because the Steelers of today can't hold a candle in spirit to those teams of the past.

Yes, and Gilliam even made the front cover of Sports Illustrated in 1974. Needless to say, Gilliam was a coke addict who couldn't keep his nose intact and snorted his way into oblivion. Ironically, another black QB at that same time also got attention (James Harris of the L.A. Rams), and was on the front cover of Sport magazine in 1975. On the outside it looked like he was on the verge of making it, but then the Rams got Pat Haden in 1976 and that was the end of the line for Harris.

I agree- the Steelers are about as bad as they come. They were indeed one of the blackest teams in the NFL back in the 1970s. At a time when many teams still featured a starting white WR, they never even played a white reserve WR. They did feature FB Rocky Bleier, and he handled the ball a lot more than FBs do today, but along with their black-centric defense, there was nothing to like about the Steelers, imho. Of course, today they'd be the whitest team in the league.

I remember Joe Gilliam all too well- I guess we're lucky he isn't playing today, or he'd be given 5 years to prove himself as a starter. I loved Terry Hanratty, and was incensed that the Steelers never gave this college star a real chance to start. That's another reason I never liked Bradshaw.

Today's Steelers-Chargers contest was a classic example of why I believe these games are fixed. From their overturning the big pass play to Jackson (with no announcer babble about "conclusive evidence") to them not overturning Norv Turner's challenges, to the absurd 50 yard pass interference on hapless Eric Weddle, it certainly seemed like the officials were "managing" this game for Pittsburgh.

I have given up predicting the outcomes of these games, except that I know they will never permit anyone or anything that is likely to overturn the Caste System to succeed. But at least we are probably going to be able to watch the world's "sexiest" coach (can't even type that without laughing) face off against the QB with the most room brightening smile in the Super Bowl. I may be a Steeler fan, but now I only cheer for Roethlisberger, Miller, Smith, Keisel, and their other white players. There may be less whites left though in a year or two.

Stupid Tomlin has made Cowher seem like an almost white friendly coach. I hate Tomlin, Kolbert, and that ass Rooney, for making that stupid rule. I almost choked when he endorsed Obama. Now Tomlin will be there for at least five more years now.

How much do you wanna bet he encouraged his children, including nieces and nephews, to date, marry and fornicate with schwartzes.

That's the key point for non-believers in the Caste System. The NFL had been integrated for 20 years at that time, yet one of the blackest teams of the '70s would be the whitest one today. What happened? Were black males injected with special hormones at birth to make them into "super" football players? Did whites suddenly stop playing football or lose the ability to run and catch and defend?

Chuck Noll blatantly favored blacks when it came to playing them, and when it came to discipline. He wasn'ta "players' coach," but he was kind of a pioneer in that area despite his reputation for toughness.Rather than "tough,"it was more like gruff and distant, but with definite double standards that long since became mandatory in the league..

Are you condescendingly treating Weddle as less than a man?

Do you want to see White Skill players? If the NFL had White RB's, there would inevitably be some fumbling. Would you then come to this site and imply that "Whitey is inferior" when certain things are inevitably going to happen once in a while? Are blacks self-loathing on blackathlete.com because blacks miss tackles and fumble and commit stupid penalties (rhetorical question). I sincerely doubt it. They want to see their people.

On the Vincent Jackson play, I saw the ball hit the ground when I saw the play live. If Jackson was faster, or if the ball was thrown a bit shorter, he would have had a better chance of corraling it cleanly.

San Diego couldn't contain the run and couldn't pressure Big Ben, and that's why they lost.

Just noticed your post. I certainly wasn't disparaging Eric Weddle with my comments. Obviously, by hapless I meant that he was a walking target on the field, as all white defensive players are. I think you really misunderstood what I was saying. I'm a huge fan of his. Edited by: bigunreal
