This was a great win for us. Undefeated Illinois, one of the top-ranked teams, and with a media darling, Dee Brown, on the roster, gets beat by an unranked Iowa squad. They routinely had three white players on the court. Very nice.

Meanwhile Kentucky got stomped (worst loss during Tubby Smith's stint at UK,) and North Carolina beat NC State, behind a great second half by Fraser and excellent free throw shooting by Hansborough (I think he had thirteen or fourteen makes... hey, don't underestimate free throw shooting!)

Here's hoping for a Duke, Gonzaga, Iowa and north carolina final four. Not totally out of the question at all. It's nice to have two white players(redick and morrison) being the consensus two best college basketball players in the game. they should probably both be lottery picks..but being american whites probably won't be.

No reason to be defeatist. Morrison is a lottery lock and Redick is on the
verge, and a first-round lock regardless -- he'll be hurt by Coach K's
disastrous track record of developing pro players more than anything.

Morrison has a good shot to go first overall. Redick will go in the lottery maybe even in the late top ten. This upcoming draft will be a good one for white hoopsters.

There are definitely some talented white players in the college ranks who could get drafted. In addition to Morrison and Redick, guys like Nick Fazekas, Paul Davis, Kevin Pittsnogle, Matt Haryasz and of course all of the European prospects could very well go pretty early in this draft, depending on how they finish out the year.

As for Iowa, they are a very good team who was ranked earlier this year but a couple tough losses dropped them out. Surely they will be back in the top 25 soon, especially if they can continue to pick up wins in the Big Ten, which is quite a power conference this season. They start 4 whites (Most of the games I've seen) and have a couple that come off the bench, as well as a few blacks. But either way, this team will definitely be a team no one wants to play come tournament time.
