Though it is sticking less than in years past, the Mainstream Media continues its hysterical J. Iginla worship, even though Iginla simply is NOT the story in the NHL this year. A particularly noxious entry is in USAToday by someone named Kevin Allen. What a dunderhead. Iginla for MVP ... and the NHL needs "to be back on ESPN" [ha!], and needs "more people who look and act like Iginla." Allen is right up there with the White NFL I-hate-my-own-race commentators.

My pick for MVP is Daniel Alfredsson of Ottawa, certainly not J. Iginla

Alex Kovalev should be MVP, look at the Habs this year and last year when Kovi's heart wasn't into it. There won't be any mid-season collapse from my habs this year! Playoffs baby!

Eddie O voted for Alfie on the Blackhawks poll last night.

Personally, I think Zetterberg deserves it but it still kind of early. However, I don't think you can say Iginla is not in the running because he is clearly having a great year.

"What the NHL needs: More athletes who play, speak and act like Iginla."

That statement concerning a league filled with classy white athlete-warriors pretty much sums uphow the system worksin the U.S. (and Canada) right there -- an outrageous but typicalblend of ingrained and never relenting anti-white racismcombined with pandering toward blacks.

Big Bobby Clobber is a fictional stereotype. Most players are well spoken in hockey. I would say the Swedes tend to be better spoken than the North Americans....

Don't be shocked if Iginla wins MVP ahead of Ovechkin. Ross McKeon picked Iginla on Yahoo! Sports. I seen a few other writers picking him. I guess many feel Ovechkin doesn't deserve the award because his team might not make the playoffs. Well the Caps won their division so what excuse will they make next?

When was the last time a player scored 60 goals in a season? To answer my own question, it was 1996 when Lemiuex and Jagr both scored 60 + goals. Those guys are HOFers. Ovechkin had a HOF like season. He led his team to the playoffs, a team many thought would finish near the bottom of the league.

I used to have a lot of respect for Mr. Iginla until he backed down from a fight with Craig Adams.I probably would have thought nothing against it if Iginla wasn't the one wanting to fight. Craig Adams is no bruiser or anything. Iginla motioned that he wanted to fight so Craig dropped the gloves...Iginla backs down and then another Flames jumps in and blindsides Adams.
