Malkin just scored again, he's now scored in his first six games, the first rookie to do that since 1917!

Dynamic duo Malkin and Crosby like Ruth and Gehrig, Gretzky and Lemieux,Batman and Robin--thought I would throw that in for a chuckle. Penguin fans should really be happy.

Gosh - Remember when Jagr and Lemieux were on the same line! But the Pens have guns. Hope they can hold it together

We White Hockey fans can't buy a break. Thanks to a "failed casino deal" with the State of Pennsylvania and some corrupt gambling corporations, it seems that a new "state of the art facitlity" hockey rink can't be built in Pittsburgh. A French-Canadian suitor (Mr. Baslille) wouldn't buy the team when the Zionist faction that runs the NHL demanded he sign an agreement to never move the team.

So now Mario Lemieux is stuck with our beloved franchise, and is investigating moving the team. Lessee ... Kansas City, Portland, Houston .... all Meccas of White Hockey enthusiasm! This really stinks. The amazingly corrput world of pro sports always smokes out good White Men and replaces them with a Zionazi-run enterprise. As usual it will have deleterious effects on the magnificent White players on the team. An anything that makes thousands of White Hockey fans miserable ina predominately White city is just peachy

Looking grim for Pittsburgh Flightless Water Fowl

Super Mario is negotiating with Kansas City, who somehow is offering a free stadium and (drumroll) lucrativities for Penguins' execs if they buckle and turn over the team to Kansas City NWO execs

NHL looks to be in great shape to me. Attendance is strong (Sorry CNN!), competitive teams, great stories of the new young superstars. Watched a great Penguins-Caps game today. Alex and Sidney were checked into submission but supporting cast provided a tightly checked, crisp affair.

Far more entertaining than the insipid NBA. I think pro hockey is cooking with gas & shouldn't worry about what ESPN wants or doesn't want. A real network will come hunting to snatch the NHL away from "Versus" within a few years.

Hey Real George, I couldn't agree more. Actually Nice to see the Pens moving up the ranks and about to take the Devils, that'd be a good thing. I saw part of that game today too. Ovechin, Semin and Crosby taking over the league is a wonderful thing.

I've watched a lot of Caps games this year, more than in a long, long time and am pretty excited by them. THey're out of playoff contention now, but a nice little run will get them in and that'd be good for the "superstar" aspect everyone talks about.

I agree with you in that the NHL needs to forget what ESPN says or does and move beyond that.
Generate fan support and enthusiasm on your own, and then the networks will beg for your business. Maybe the NHL thought with their deals with ESPN they didn't need to market anymore or have an exciting game on the ice. WHo knows, but the NHL is back and in a big way now. It's a good thing.

Still be nice to see the old six do something.

Don't ever tell me hitting a fast ball is the hardest thing to do in
sports. If anyone saw Malkin's one-timer from the corner of the ice,
they would have to agree that there is only a hand full of human
beings that could make that shot. Barry Bonds is not one of them.

The hand-eye coordination of the average hockey player is equal to or better than that of athletes in other sports, andsignificantly betteron averagethan that of the "world's greatest athletes."

Surely you mean "affletes", right?

The Beak is Back with a vengeance! 14 of 16 wins, just like the good old days. Lost a sizzler to the Isles today but the Penguins have MUCHO offensive talent and are up there with Buffalo and Detroit as the most fun to watch

Their turnaround has been amazing, but there have been some disturbing trends of late, like porous defense and squandering multi-goal leads in four or five games in a row. But when you consider the Penguins' youth -- SidneyCrosby is 19, Evgeni Malkin is 20 and Jordan Staal 18 -- they've exceeded everyone's expectations so far this season. Now, if this state's grotesquely corrupt politicians can only cobble together a deal that will gouge the taxpayerssufficiently to keep the team in town. . .

Two days ago the Penguins traded for 40 year old wing Gary Roberts and black enforcer Georges Laraque. So I'm watching the first period of the game just now, and the station (the Pittsburgh affiliate of Fox Sports) is airing promos for a special on Laraque that is on right after the game. "The NHL's toughest man on the ice but the nicest one off the ice. Hear Georges Laraque in his own words talk about the racism he faced in his youth and his views on racism in hockey. Tonight at 10:00."

And I'll bet he has a room brightening smile to go with a charismatic personality.

Two days after he joins the team and they already have the anti-white propaganda piece ready to air. I'd much rather watch a special about Gary Roberts, a 20 year veteran of the league known for his toughness and leadership qualities, but then again I'm not awash with white guilt and self-hatred. What a sick society.

I hear you brother! When does it end? It goes on and on and they never tire of it. I hope I live to see the end of it but I don't think I have another hundred years in me.

The Penguins are once again becoming one of the NHL's most marketable teams with their 2 young superstars in Crosby and Malkin. Especially here in Canada when the Penguins are on the road there is always so much talk about them. The Canadian teams usually sell out at home no matter who plays anyway but the Penguins generate an added interest. Last year in Crosby's rookie season he was really picked on and roughed-up often so the Penguins thought they needed more toughness for the playoffs. Roberts, who we know in Toronto very well, will bring real toughness- bodychecking ability and boardwork- to the Penguins, and he can finish as well. Laraque can't bodycheck unless his opponent is standing still, he can't pass because the game is far too skilled and fast for him, and he has no vision. Basically the only reason he is there is to start trouble. He is the last twit who should talk about racism when his colour is one of the major reasons why he is actually playing in the NHL.
U.S. teams have tried for years to gain some black audience and "credibility" in the eyes of the U.S. sports media by featuring a black player or two on a team. That is where Laraque fits in. The good players will make up for his poor hockey play so that he can skate around and pick fights. With a black player on the team the local sports broadcast will feel at least a little at home.
And, oh yeah, I should mention the words "nice guy" is absolutely meaningless. Everybody is a "nice guy".

Don, as usual you are several steps ahead of me. So I will agree and expand:

Georges Friggin' Laraque! I used to like the Penguins. Yes I heard all the Boo-hoo-hoo "I was so discriminated against" by the cheap-shot artist Laraque on the Pittsburgh Fox affiliate. Two games over on the Edmonton station a different story was heard. "Laraque has left major enemies behind in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver, and is regarded as the undisputed King of the cheap shot." Interesting that the Canadian announcers can tell the truth about a black hockey player.

Well Georges is a black-eye on the sport, a second coming of Peter Worrell. Most egregious is the fawning of the Pittsburgh Penguin announcer corps. Last night's game was between the Pens and Carolina Hurricanes, but all we heard from the two Palookas who do the broadcast was about "The chiseled body" of Georges Laraque and how much "grit" he brings to the team.

And it does amaze me how much the black hockey players milk it. Anson Carter doesn't say much, but Emery, Brashear, Laraque, Mayers, Salvador, Odouye, and even Mike Grier, every one of these gents will bend a reporter's ear about the horrible "racism" they face.

But Georges Laraque will bring a missing element to the Penguins. Now the rest of the NHL teams will be much less rooting for Sir Sidney and Malkin and the great young talents of the Pens team, and will now regard them as the home of Cheap Shot Georges. The honeymoon is overEdited by: Realgeorge

I really liked and followed the Penguins before this trade. They played a style of hockey I really enjoyed. The Dallas Stars have always been my favorite team but the Penguins have been so much fun to watch. Not anymore.

The Pens are my Stanley Cup favorite this new 2007 season. The Flyers are Comeback Team of the Year. The Canucks have the finest new uniforms, with the Sharks a close second. The Sabres-Penguins "Ice Bowl" game will sell zillions of tickets and draw huge TV audience. It will be a Banner Year for the NHL, with turnstile and TV counts drawing ever higher.

Drop the Puck!

Did Pens fans see the classy town hall meeting held for fans. Would a bunch of coloreds do that for the fans? Maybe if they were payed. Our boys did it because they know that the fansare the backbone.

Buy a ticket just to watch Number 58, a defenseman named Letang from somewhere in Slav land. The guy is the fastest skating defenseman I've seen in decades -- reminds me of Paul Coffey. He won the Penguins' shootout the other night. But his end-to-end rush is a thing of beauty. ... Sid the Kid stole the show in Penguins' recent Canada-West Coast road trip. Oodles of fans in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver crowded the pre-game shoot to get autographs and close-up photos of Crosby. Great for the game. Go Penguins!

The Penguins traded for Marian Hossa today, finally giving Sidney Crosby a big-timewinger to play with. I like the trade a lot. Colby Armstrong and Eric Christensen are journeymen types. Angelo Esposito might develop into a big-time star but Hossa is only 29 if Pitt can keep him beyond this season. The Penguins now have a better chance to go deep into the playoffs this spring.

I hope for the Pens they sign him after the season , IMO Christensen and Armstrong are 20-goal scorers if used right. Esposito is going to be a big time bust though. He just fail to step up when the remparts(his junior team) need him the most. I'm glad my Habs didn't pay the king's ramsom to get him.
