another great showing by heskey
it was in the last manchester united match, against heskey's team
it looks like heskey has built his legend, he is considered as one of the most mediocre strikers in england
the suporters mock him

That Heskey has been able to appear for England over three decades now - 1990s, 2000s, and 2010 World Cup - would be comical if it weren't so tragic. Even in his prime he was never very good.

OT that penalty miss by Inter against Udinese was the most memorable moment of the weekend.

same as beckham, or elano in the last copa america
he missed because of the field
here, his foot slipped
but pazzini is having a bad season

inter didn't have lucio, maicon (i think he only played 1 match this season in serie A) forlan, sneijder....
in their last match (before this one) they were lucky to win in the last seconds of the game, 1-0
it was a very lucky win
it didn't happen this time

can't wait until forlan comes back
and when forlan plays, i hope the coach and the other players know that he must be the one who shoots every penalty

I found it funny that he was brought in during matches in the world cup, espacially the last years he scores like 1 in every 1000 minutes or so.But at least he found the net already 1 time in the premiership this season:biggrin:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/991234/lazio-striker-djibril-cisse-hits-out-at-twitter-'haters'-?cc=5739

cisse is really embarassing
lazio did everything to help him play better, they made him a titular for 14 matches of serie a, but he doesn't score, so he becomes nervous
he doesn't score in europa league either

now veteran striker rocchi is the new titular, and cissé should leave lazio soon....why did lazio bought him?

cissé scored only one goal in serie A, and it was a header

meanwhile, klose scores a lot (it will be interesting to see if he can challenge ronaldo's record of most scored goals in world cup in 2014)

i uploaded this miss by a random black striker of the french league, because i think it's pretty funny:
http://rutube.ru/tracks/5213531.html

and eto'o: the main reason why internazionale did bad last season
in 2009-2010 milito was the main striker, and in 2010-2011,it became eto'o
they lost the italian league, and the champions league because of him

he did this during a very important match against juventus :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIDPJEpTnuE&feature=related
(a video i had already posted in this thread)

and this in the very important match against ac milan, the match that made them lose the italian league:

also this agression (he was suspended for a couple of matches because of this)

and he ended this awesome season with a missed penalty with cameroon:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qoRR9mgqwc

this miss had terrible consequences, because cameroon had to win the match to qualify for the 2012 african cup of nations (the equivalent of the euro 2012 for africa)
the score was still 0-0 when the referee awarded a penalty in the last seconds of the game
and eto'o missed it
(how corrupt is african soccer, the commentators in the video don't even know why the referee offered a penalty kick to cameroon)

Milito scored this evening in the milan derby. So far it is the only goal. Robinho probably should've scored for Milan.

1 oportunity, 1 goal for milito
i was watching the match with argentine speakers, and they were saying that it was a shame that he never really had the chance to play 3-4 matches in a row as a titular with the argentina national team
higuian is not a real striker for me, milito is
higuain is more winger

and last year eto'o was titular and milito didn't play much for inter....
i posted these clips about etoo today because i knew it was the revenge from last year for internazionale, and etoo did an incredible miss last year (the one against ac milan)
i was hoping a white striker could show etoo how to score goals in a big match

by the way forlan was still recovering from his newest injury, an ankle injury this time
so he only played the last 3 minutes

i hope during the next important matches ricky alvarez won't play, sneijder or forlan instead, because he wasn't able to give the ball to the strikers during this match, and they had very few oportunities

pato looked distracted
robinho got totally dominated by the white defenders of internazionale, he looked like a child next to them
incredible match from lucio

My second favorite  "American" player Robbie Findley had one of the worst misses of the season. A typical goofy African miss but at least he did it with extra flair.

This guy was a joke in MLS but somehow he was signed by Nottingham Forest. Gotta love Affirmative Action!

good one
how do you say in english when you hit the ball like he does, with the "exterior"? i never know how to say it

some good comments on the video on youtube:
"Eddie Johnson, Robbie Findley, Marvell Wynne, Freddy Adu, Gale Agbousseemonde, Maurice Edu, DeMarcus Beasley.......they all have something in common. I'll let you figure out what that is."
by "RonaldhoIsAWanker "
is he a member of this site?

another one i uploaded from the french ligue 1, because they are always as goofy, regardless of the country they play in
it was a week or 2 ago:

We just say "outside of the foot" or "...boot". Almost always the player is trying to swerve it: http://betterfootball.net/soccer-skills/passing/short-passing-outside-foot-swerve-pass/

When a player kicks with the inside of his foot - usually when passing at a short distance - we call that a "sidefoot" or "sidefooted" pass or shot.

I'd never heard of this Robbie Findley. His name makes him sound like he's from Dublin or Liverpool! I've certainly never heard of blacks, especially Americans, calling themselves "Robbie".

He's not even American. His parents are from Trinidad & Tobago. Another mercenary from a country that produces lousy players.

Americans love mercenaries from countries that have no track record of producing any quality players. Instead of picking immigrants from countries like Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Italy.....they pick immigrant players from lousy soccer nations like Togo, Nigeria, Trinidad, Jamaica, Guatemala, Haiti, etc.

When has Haiti, Togo, or Trinidad ever produced good or even halfway decent footballers? Use common sense here. US Soccer federation are complete idiots from top to bottom.

yes, i noticed also that when it comes to mercenaries, USA usually choose players from bad countries, and usually black countries
in france i remember seeing a second division club with 3 young haitians: what are they doing here?

blacks sometimes have strange names
for example douglas maicon was named after michael douglas (maicon douglas)
blacks from ecuador often have ridiculous american-souding names, like brayan (brian) ect

this week sochaux (french club) bought this african player with a funny name:

Fans: But HE IS A BANANA!:tongue:

the tottenham vs manchester city match:

manchester city was leading 2-0, but thanks to this wonderful goal by gareth bale tottenham managed to come back at 2-2

then, in the last minutes of the game, tottenham sould have scored and won the match
very good sprint by gareth bale once again, the cross is perfect, but defoe misses the goal

a few minutes later, manchester city scored and won the match , thanks to a penalty offered by king the black defender

MilanClass,

Yes Robinho was accused of rape in Yorkshire a few years ago but charges were dropped.

Robinho scored twice for Milan last night against a lame Arsenal team. Arsenal are the last English team but they are not exactly flying the flag for English football. It is rare to see such a major club put in such a poor performance in the knock-out stage of the Champions League. It is not as if this particular Milan squad is a great team.

chelsea is still considered an english club, despite having almost no english players
they will face napoli

i agree that milan doesn't have a great team
robinho's lack of consistency will become obvious as soon as milan will face a team with a strong defence
