Holmgren strikes twice

Just wanted to point out that both Jerehme Urban and Kevin Kasper have been cut from the Seahawks in about a week's time. Urban has been toyed with by Holmgren for the past 2 or so years. He has shown potential when given the chance to play but never is able to put enough playing time together. Darell Jackson who is renowned league wide for dropping passes remains starter. Nate Burleson who is hugely overrated and the Seahawks paid dearly for his mediocre services when trying to strike back at the Vikings for getting Steve Hutchinson in free agency. Burleson had 10.9 YPC last season with a long rec. of 20 yds with 1 td and he signed some huge ridiculous contract. Peter Warrick...typical mediocre first round bust who gets to hang around the league due to his yet untapped "potential" after 6 seasons in the league. I wish the Seahawks nothing but the best Superbowl Hangover ever.

Urban was injured a couple of times but still Holmgren must have waive Urban at least 10 times over the past 3 years. Does the NFL keep records for most kicked around whites by position and franchise? It should

It would be easy to say that these guys need to learn which franchises to sign with, but the reality is that not a single team in the NFL comesclose to being fair to white receivers. I mean, whose door can Urban go knocking on now that will give him any more of a chance than Mike Holmgren did? You could say the Colts, but look what they did to Stokley's role last year and John Standeford sits on their practice squad with no future in the NFL. The Rams look like they're purging their white players and keeping Curtis from starting. The Titans have done a 180 since last season and Bennett looks doomed with McNair and Vince Young throwing the ball. I don't know if there is another workplace in the U.S. as hostile to whites as the NFL, other than explicitly racial entities like BET,Hispanic radio and TV stationsand the like.

DD.com comment: Lulay's a pretty intense and gifted athlete, which few saw because he played at the D1-AA level. We doubt Mike Holmgren will give him a look at safety or wide receiver (like a Mike Martz might), but it would not be a terrible idea. At the very least, the Hawks should try him out on kick coverage, until they can find a spot for him at quarterback.
