I just started lifting a month and a half ago. I used to weightlift several years ago for about a year straight. Now that I am lifting again I have a few questions. I am trying to get my body fat percentage down. I am walking on the the treadmill 3 days a week half an hour a day. Will treadmill make me lose muscle mass? I have been told if you run too fast on it and your heart rate goes up too high it will. Also I am lifting everyday which I am now being told is wrong because I am not giving my muscles enough time to recover and will not get good results. My routine is shoulders, chest and tri one day and the next day back and biceps. Next I do chest again and biceps and back next day.I do abs every other day as well. Is this wrong? Should I leave a days rest after chest and then go to biceps and back and so on? Any help would be appreciated.

Check out this website John Stone Fitness.
Theres all kinds of info for losing body fat percentage and keeping muscle mass. Ive gone from 20% bodyfat down to 12 % following the info I learned there. My ultimate goal is 10% bodyfat and maintain it. The beginners advice section of the forum really helped me out and has all the info you need and should answer most of your questions: John Stone forums
