I was a footballer/trackster here in central Cali back in the day, a rarity, a white sprinter/running back/cornerback/kick returner. As ya know central Cali could never be confused with the south, I competed vs blacks. And they are great athletes. I don't especially care for black people, don't like the way there is no father in the home. Them not caring to read a book and educate themselves, BUT......I can't act like these pe0ple aren't great athletes, and that is a problem "here". I am 100% in agreement that whites don't get treated like they should but we'd still have Jerry Rice, Walter Payton, Bob Hayes, and all those HBCU athletes. I can't ignore what blacks have accomplished in sports. And it really wouldn't have mattered what the situation with white athletes was. Who is keeping Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Earl Campbell on a bench? Can I have that attitude and post here? Do I really have to ...GRRRRRRR...blacks? I read this in the guidelines..... An honest dialogue about sports and race by definition will include negative observations about an individual or race, but if your objective is simply to attack a group of people go elsewhere. Wouldn't it be dishonest to act like blacks don't make a huge impact in sports? When it's very obvious they do? We can't be concerned with the plight of the white athletes without being disrespectful to the black athletes, it's not their fault things are like they are. It's white owners and coaches.
