That Kramer kid at Purdue is very athletic and the best on the ball defender in the Big Ten. He needs to develop his perimeter game more but he is clearly the heart and soul of the #4 ranked Purdue, no disrespect to Robbie Hummel intended.Edited by: guest301

good call on Kramer, guest301. he's an exceptional player who completely slipped my mind.

in addition to the things you stated, he plays with a nasty attitude and won't hesitate to try and dunk on your head.

JimmyC I remember a couple of links last season posted on CF showing some of Kramer's nasty in game dunks.

Awesome. Love to see Purdue's Kramer and Hummel in the Final Four this year. Nothing like seeing a white kid dunk like that when all eyes would be watching.

I don't understand why this Chris Kramer guy isn't listed as a defensive specialist prospect that should get drafted. Is there a reason...

Like you mentioned Guest...Jay Bilas really talked up Kramer as the best on ball defender in college basketball and I thought his offensive game was just good enough that he is definitely a 2nd round worthy prospect. He is a phenom at stealing the ball. Hummell is money and I'll be rooting for Purdue or Duke amongst the top 5 teams in the rankings right now!

Btw, speaking of guards Jon Schyer has really been a stud again this year for Duke...In fact he's even better than last!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Robbie Hummel isn't listed as a draft pick on some mocks too. The reason? The scouting reports claim he has "average athleticism." How many times have we heard that said about a white athlete?

Brady Morningstar of Kansas just came back from suspension for DUI and he is a good perimeter shooter. Don't be fooled because he can jump too. They have that Tyler Reed guy on Kansas also- I think he's a PG.

Western Michigan's David Kool is probably the best guard in the MAC.
i think this article puts his value to his team in the proper perspective: Kool carries WMU on his back.

KALAMAZOO â€" If this is what a basketball player with a back injury looks like, perhaps we should all wrench our backs before taking the court.

Only David Kool knows how uncomfortable he was during Western Michigan University's 74-73 win Sunday over Sam Houston State.

He made it even harder for the rest of us to tell with his performance, scoring 31 points, the last two of which gave the Broncos the lead with 3.9 seconds remaining.

After Kool split a double-team, drove into the lane and let fly a soft floater that found only the net, he made sure victory was secure by stealing the final pass of the game as Sam Houston State tried to find a shooter open on the baseline ...

Beyond that, Kool, who scored 14 of WMU's final 23 points, did his best to sound humble in classifying his role in the outcome. Others told the story better.

"What can you say about David? David just wasn't going to let us lose,"Â￾ said Broncos coach Steve Hawkins, whose team trailed by 15 points with 14 minutes to play.

"It's crazy, just watching him go crazy, go off for 30 points,"Â￾ Douglas said. " ... We always know something good is going to happen. Either he's going to get fouled or he's going to hit the bucket."Â￾

"He beat us today single-handedly,"Â￾ added Sam Houston State coach Bob Marlin, whose Bearkats (8-5) were beaten on a last-second shot by the Broncos a year ago in Huntsville, Texas. "I didn't think their other guys were really sharp but he was really good."Â￾

Kool's third 30-point game of the season came after he strained a muscle in his lower back while weight lifting on Wednesday night. It kept him out of all but part of Saturday's practice the rest of the week ...

they don't get to play on tv very often, but Eastern Illinois has a good guard. Tyler Laser can score from spotting up or off the dribble, but what really stands out about him to me is how he plays the game.

unlike most White guards who let the game come to them and are unselfish to a fault, Laser (how cool is that name for a shooter?!?!) makes the game come to him. he is very, very aggressive. that's not always a good thing, but i'd rather have an aggressive player than a timid one any day.

edited to add: i should add that while he's struggled with his shot a bit in the early going of the season, he's not only the leading scorer for his team but also it's unquestioned leader. he makes them go.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood
