Frankie Edgar will get a rematch with Ben Henderson this summer. I really like Frankie's chances of getting his lightweight belt back.

Alex Gustaffson, the best white 205-er IMO, will now fight Thiago Silva rather than Lil Nog next month. Lil Nog is really just a gastekeeper now while Silva is a legit top 10 guy at light heavyweight. A better opponent and still one that Alex should defeat (hopefully by KO). A win here and the Swede is 1-2 wins from a title shot.

Also, Josh Barnett will now fight Negro Dan Cormier for the Strikeforce Heavyweight GP belt on May 18. I imagine a win will but him back in the UFC and near a title shot.

Also, Mir v. Brown Pride and Big Country v. Bigfoot Silva t UFC 146.

I'm down on Big Country but Silva has a suspect chin so you never know.

I can see Mir catching Brown Pride in a submission. Would love to see Mir get the belt back.

Frankie seems to demolish his opponents decisively in the insta-rematches, I hope this will be no different.

Personally, I prefer JDS to Mir. I think that JDS with his exceptional boxing and take down defense will be able to keep the strap a lot more secure than Mir ever could. The only top HW right now that I would like to see be UFC champion over JDS is Josh Barnett, or Miocic depending on how he develops.

Cormier might be tough tough fight for Barnett, due to the fact that styles make matches, and in this match Cormier's wrestling will problably neutralize Barnett's catch-style wrestling, and I don't have a lot of confidence in Barnett's standup against Cormier.

Glad to see Edgar get a shot to regain HIS strap that was stolen by those inept judges.

UFC 146 looks to be the deepest card of the year. :thumb: I like JDS (by KO) against Overroid. Mir could certainly sub Brown Pride IF he doesn't first get tagged + TKO'd early. As for Big Country, he's becoming the Tex Cobb of MMA. Proving you can take a beating is not sustainable for one's career. He's lost 3 of his last 4 fights (& 5 of last 7). Yes he has a heavy hand, good jaw & solid BJJ, but his fatboy schtick isn't rendering success. The mug either need to drop down to 225 OR to LHW. He squandering his talent/potential fighting this heavy < 225 lbs. :eek:hwell:

Also, I'd love to see Baby Face Assasin whip Cormier, but like Hawk said...Barnett's subs may be neutralized and his stand-up isn't top flight. Josh's won 8 in a row and not lost since 2008. However, one victory was against a washed up Pedro Rizzo & another versus can Brett Rogers. If Josh beats Cormier, I'd love to see him in the UFC.

Very impressed by Corey! That was a big upset as Mann was my pick to win the tourny.

Mike Russow gets a fight with Werdum. People on MMAJunkie are really down on this fight. Of course, Werdum has to be the favorite but at least Russow gets his shot at the big time. Russow has excellent wrestling and a good chin so we will see. He also seemed to have no problem on he ground with Einemo, who is a BJJ master like Werdum.

We were 3-for-3 in caste matches today at Cage Warriors 5 with white fighters defeating black opponents:

DJ Linderman won an easy UD over Bobby Brents.
Mike Ling tapped black "Frenchman" Eric Seberac (in what was deemed an upset).
Liam James won a split decision over another black "Frenchman" Jean N'Doye (another mild upset).

France is the only country that seems to have been more psychologically-damaged than the United States over the years when it comes to perceived athletic superiority of blacks by the general White populace.

Obviously, ours has been socially-engineered by the jewsual suspects and swallowed whole, without question, by the DWFs like they swallow whole hot dogs at a Jets game, but France has seemed to accept this without any deliberation, adopting this notion like they adopted Jazz. Tennis, Football, Boxing, Track, and now MMA.

However, it has been good to see someone like Christophe Lemaitre breaking out and shattering their self-induced illusion as well as the recent lightening of their national soccer team to a more appropriate hue (while "ours" is going the other way) and the recent high-level success of their national Rugby team. Now if they could just get a golfer and Tennis player to compete at the highest levels as well.

A bit of bad news (for me anyway). Stefan Struve will fight Stipe Miocic in September. To me, these are the two best white prospects at heavyweight in MMA.

I would rather have Struve fight Mark Hunt and Miocic fight someone like Gonzaga.

I see Struve winning a decision though probably 80% of people will pick Miocic by KO.

We all knew this was going to happen, I guess we can't have to many good white prospects inany weight-class. I sure they'll have Pat Barry and Levar Johnson fight some scrubs to build up thier records.

Johnson's a 1 trick pony with no (UFC level) wrestling or BJJ. :icon_rolleyes: They need to clip him from the roster.

BTW, I still am not sold on Struve. He has awesome size/reach and solid BJJ, but a suspect chin (KO'd 4x). IF he didn't take Hunt down straight away, I fear he'd be quickly KO'd. I hope he proves me wrong and makes a run at the HW strap, but I can't see him hanging with heavy handed guys like Hunt, Carwin & JDS (who already made short work of Struve).

Exactly my thoughts when I saw this match up, I was like WTF, two top white fighters who are now rising have to fight each other? Typical Jewish-American move in combat sports.

Eastern Europeans need to start "filling" all the American MMA organizations, especially the UFC and the sport will look whiter than white very soon again. Just take a look in the top 10 HW's of boxing..........Eastern European supremacy.

One of the things I love about MMA and boxing is that there is no of-season. Yet the last 6 weeks have felt like an off-season with no UFC cards.

Agreed. My wife & I enjoy watching the UFC cards. She likes some football too (UGA, etc.), but doesn't follow it like the UFC. We're looking forward to the next PPV.

I guess Jose Aldo and Rampage Jackson are both injured and won't be fighting in there up coming matches. Aldo was suppose to fight Frankie and Rampage was suppose to fight Glover Teixeira.

That's probably good for Quinton, because (IMO) Glover would beat the daylights outta ol' "Ramg@ys".

I agree, Rampage has really gone down hill the last fews years, I also though he lost the Machida fight. I thought Edgar would have beaten Aldo as well. Edgar should be the 155 champ if not for terrible judging, and while Aldo has great leg kicks and takedown defense, he hasn't faced anyone with the striking or wrestling of Edgar.

Looks like the Bellator heavyweight champion will still be white. Richard Hale will meet either the Russian Zolkin or white Brazilian Spartan in the finals. I was worried Rogers or mulatto Santos would win the belt when Kole Konrad retired.

I should have said Volkov rather than Zolkin above. And Spartan is actually Vinicius Queroz who apparently changed his name.

Both the Bellator heavyweight and featherweight tournament finals will be all-white affairs.

Heavyweight - Richard Hale vs. Alexander Volkov

Featherweight - Rad Martinez (completely white with blue eyes, fair skin and light brown hair) vs. Shahbulat Shamhalaev

I predict the two Russians will win.

Stefan Struve will face great black dope Chiekh Kongo on the UFC 156 card on Super Bowl weekend.

Struve is the best white heavyweight in MMA (IMO) and I think he will quickly take Kongo to the mat where the African is helpless as a turtle on his back.
