    Two favorite vids.

    A Talking Heads video:

    Road to Nowhere

And a Dire Straits video, I like the comparison of a concert to a sporting event.

    Walk of Life

I never watch music videos these days, but one of my favorite videos from years ago is Pantera's "Domination" live at the Monsters of Rock in Moscow (circa 1991). Although I'm primarily a traditional country & old-school bluegrass fan, Pantera's my favorite pre-workout music, and this is one of the most high-energy, bad@$$ live performances I've ever seen. Get'cha pull! [IMG] [IMG]

Although this obviously isn't the "actual" video for this song, its still my favorite. Someone took some of the best NHL fight clips and used the song "You Could Be Mine" from Guns N' Roses. "Kick-Ass" is the only word that comes to mind when I see this video [IMG] :

I love Pantera too. Its a shame what happened to Dimebag Darryl. Phil Anselmo is a crazy bastard too. He seems to have some racial pride as well. Listen to what he says from 1:25 of the video on. Very true.:

I'm nota big fan of mostproduced music videos. I prefer live performances on video. One of my favorites is Black Sabbath doing "War Pigs" in Paris in 1970. War Pigs was going to be the title of the "Paranoid" album, but the record execs thought it wouldn't sellwell in the states for beingso anti-Vietnam, so they renamed the album title.

I've never watched many videos on TV, but "Rooster" by Alice In Chains is one of the most intense videos I've ever watched.

Iron Maiden, The Clansman from Rock in Rio.

    Wake alone in the hills
With the wind in your face
It feels good to be proud
And be free and a race
That is part of a clan
    And to live on highlands
And the air that you breathe
    So pure and so clean

    When alone on the hills
With the wind in your hair
With a longing to feel ..
    Just to be free

    Is it right to believe
In the need to be free
Its a time when you die
    And without asking why
Cant you see what they do
    They are grinding us down
    They are taking our land
    That belongs to the clans

    Not alone with a dream
    Just want to be free
    With a need to belong
    I am a clansman .....freedom

Its a time wrought with fear
Its a land wrought with change

    Ancestors could hear
    What is happening now
They would turn in their graves
    They would all be ashamed
That the land of the free
    Has been written in chains
And I know what I want

    When the timing is right
Then Ill take what is mine
    I am the clansman

    And I swear to defend
And well fight to the end
And I swear that Ill never
    Be taken alive
And I know that well stand
And well fight for our land
And I swear that my bairns will be born free

And I know what I want
    When the timing is right
Then Ill take what I want
    I am the clansman .....freedom

And I know what I want when the timing is right
Then Ill take what is mine I am the clansman

No, no we cant let them take anymore
No we cant let them take anymore
We've the land of the free
    Freedom

    Is it right to believe
In the need to be free
Its a time when you die
    And without asking why
Cant you see what they do
    They are grinding us down
    They are taking our land
    That belongs to the clans

    Not alone with a dream
    Just want to be free
    With a need to belong
    I am a clansman

And I know what I want
    When the timing is right
Then Ill take what is mine
    I am the clansman...freedom

Sorry, I'm still a techno-dinosaur who still hasn't figured out direct linking.

Go to Settings, then Edit Profile and make sure "yes" is clicked for "Enable the WYSIWYG Editor." That may be why many here don't seem to be able to use the quote and link functions. Also, any time you change anything in your profile, for example your avatar, the WYSIWYG Editor automatically defaults to no. In fact, I think just clicking on Edit Profile makes it default to no. It's a board glitch so it has to be re-set to yes to work.
