As of game number one these are the starters.

Elias HarrisF
Robert SacreC
Demitree Goodson G
Matt BouldonG
Steven GrayG

Only Bouldon is white but he's the best player and this is his team.Of the 16 players on the roster 8 are white including Dave Stockton(John's son)who is redshirting. That leaves 7 white guys on the active roster.Bench players who should get decent minutes are Kelly Olynyk,Grant Gibbs and possibly Will Foster and Andy Poling in certain situations.Chris Pantorolo-Maag and Mike Hart are garbage time guys.So half the team is white, not as bad as I initialy thought. This team is quite young so they're kind of hard to figure at this point so we will just have to wait and see how this season plays out.

I'm looking forward to seeing Olynyk play, and come next year, let's see if Dave Stockton has some of his dad's magic.

The Zags won the Maui tournament winning three games in three nights beating Colorado,Wisconsin and Cincy in the final.Matt Bouldon was named co-MVP with team-mate Steven Gray.Other than Bouldon there wasn't much in the way of White contribution as Mark Few is sticking with his starting five but eventually I'd like to see Gibbs and Olynyk work their way in.

technically, Gonzaga has a half-white starting lineup ... as Sacre, Gray, and Harris are allmulattoes.

off the bench, 6-11 guard/forward true freshman Olynyk has the look of a future star. redshirt freshman Grant Gibbs looks like nothing more than a role player at this point. also, it is my understanding that Stockton is a walk-on ...

in other news, Elias Harrs, the 20-year old half-black "German" freshman was ejected from a game last week for a vicious cheap shot against Wake Forest's White center Chas McFarland. did anyone else see it? i was VERY disappointed in Mark Few's statements afterwards defending Harris, saying to the effect of course that Harris was a great person and wouldn't really do something like that (even though he obviously did) and that it was just a minor blocking out/rebounding technique problem that caused the "issue." terribly, terribly disappointing from the usually class act head coach.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

Didn't see the foul by Elias Harris but it was against C.J.Harris of Wake. The Zags play Duke Saturday at MSG at 1:00 on CBS.I'm sure this game will be posted at the Duke thread as well as BB-2009-10.In years past this would be a caste-busting game but the boys from Spokane aren't holding up their end.Matt Bouldin got his bell rung against Augustana and didn't play against Davidson but should be okay for Duke.Grant Gibbs replaced Matt in the Davidson game and didn't do too much.

no, sir. you are incorrect. as i said, it was Chas McFarland. i saw the game, and i know what i'm talking about. if you still disagree, then perhaps this video of the violent and dirty playwill be enough to convince you that i am correct.

additionally, i'm really looking forward to the Duke-Gonzaga game. Bouldin, Singler, and Scheyer are all terrific players and there will be a lot of young White talent on the floor, as well. i'm excited just thinking about it!

the lone White starter for Gonzaga is BY FAR their best player ...

Matt Bouldin currently leads the Zags in scoring, assists, steals, minutes played, and is a close third in rebounding. he's been a bit sloppy with the ball of late, and leads the team in turnovers, too. BUT, he is the man with the ball in his hands come crunch time and has carried the Zags in every close game this season.

in Gonzaga's most recent outing, against Illinois, Bouldin had 18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals (as well as 5 turnovers). down the stretch, he made everything happen for the Zags.

additionally, he's been named a Wooden Player of the Year candidate.

After Bouldin leaves then what? It's getting harder to follow this stuff the blacker it gets but at the same time I'm done with the"go team"concept and follow only the individual White players. Also,I'm 45 years of age now and sometimes I feel that I'm too old to be watching these kids play that struck home with me viewing the Gonzaga-Duke game a couple of weeks ago. They all looked like high schoolers out there. But I suppose as long as there is a caste system in place I will support are guys.Speaking of Gonzaga-Duke what were the odds that Will Foster would score Gonzaga's first basket.Way to go big guy.

Gonzaga is currently playing a very-White Portland team on ESPNU, if anyone doesn't want to watch that lame football "contest."

Gonzaga's best player, Matt Bouldin, has 6 assists and 0 turnovers with 8:30 left in the first half, while White freshman Kelly Olynyk has come off the bench and scored a quick 7. barring injury, he is going to be a great one.

Portland has gone cold from the outside, but Nik Raivio is trying to keep them in it.

On Saturday Gonzaga beat Memphis as Bouldin picked them
apart with clutch shooting and passing.

Will Foster who is 7'5 played a great game off the bench.

Bouldin should be in the NBA. He's a good scorer, shooter, and he's unselfish which are three great
traits. Bouldin and Foster were the best two players on the court.
