I don't now what surprised me more; the Raiders selecting three white guys out of seven picks, or that they chose Heyward-Bey with the seventh overall pick (he can't catch the ball - they assigned him # 12, too!) Not to mention taking Mike Mitchell in the second round. This team should have traded down.

Let's see if Slade Norris (cool name), Stryker Sulak (cooler name), and Brandon Myers make the team.

Just to play Devil's advocate here- Heyward-Bey did have a spectacular pro-day. He ran routes- losing very little speed in and out of his breaks- and dropped no passes in drills. Collie was more reliable during real games last season though and had better production.

I saw just one Maryland game last year. I don't know the perfect answer to Heyward-Bey's performance or the workings of that offense, but he did look like a game breaker. However, I did read that his hands were at least questioned by some analysts-entering the draft.
I may have made a mistake dropping Collie down to my 5th best WR.

Kenny Britt-my 6th ranked WR- of Rutgers on the other hand-definitely drops too many passes.

BTW: Next year's class of white WRs is stronger than this one and the black class weaker! My two top WRs are white for 2010! Glad to see the Raiders drafted 3 whites-not bad for them!

Raiders will be Raiders... i think their first 4 choices were all reaches, regardless of the color...

This may be good for Sulak. He would be a good fit in Kansas City, I would love for him to sign with the suddenly white-friendly chiefs. Hopefully he doesn't get trapped in Detroit or St. Louis. He could be able to compete for playing time in KC.

The Raiders might suck...but why not sign WR-Kevin Curtis...if he's fully recovered he still has the speed to go deep! He can play a couple more years?? He canmentor 1stRound phenom Darius Heyward-Bey who still has trouble catching a simple pass...
