I just so happened to watch some of the U-20 Women's World Cup. The match-up happened to be France vs. Germany so I was interested to see the racial break down. To my pleasant surprise, France started 10 white women and 1 black. Germany's starting 11 was all white.

I am no expert on the subject, but it seems that women's sports are usually less caste than men's. Would this be the case as well for soccer?

to a degree, you are correct. but in the USA, there is a strong movement for women'ssoccer to become as "diverse" as the men's game. of course, the definition of diversity means more non-White.while the Women's National Team remains overwhelming White, the younger versions of "american" teams look as dark as our nation's future.

for example, the new poster child of USA women's soccer is Canadian-American (whatever that is) mulatto Sydney Leroux (who has played for national teams of both Canada and the USA). she's a gifted player, but the remainder of the numerous blacks on the U-20 team are not special at all ... except for their blackness, of course, which is all that matters to the multi-cultists.

It's 18 in France IF you are PAYING a sex worker, but they have to know the girl is under age. If she lies , then they can't prosecute, which I agree with. I don't like the American law that says it doesn't matter if they lie, you should know. If someone is coming on to you and lies about her age and looks mature, then I think it shouldn't be prosecuted.

It's 15 in normal circumstances that aren't involving a hooker.Edited by: Europe

oh o.k. but if in prostitue cases it is 18, could she be a protitue when she is under 18.

She could have lied about her age and in that case they won't get in trouble.

I wonder how many people in france think about this but have no medium to speak about it. (ie - will instantly be called a racist)

So many people...(personal experience)
<DIV style="MARGIN: 0.75pt 1.5pt 0pt">when they see "their team", they are embarassed, but no one can talk about that in public , because, as you said, they would instantly be called racists (and it happened several times).

Lisa D,

No, I am not from Europe. I live in the Midwest in the US. You said you live in Lorraine. Does your area have a lot of Muslim immigrants or blacks or is it vast majority French?

I have many friends who went to Canada (among other things to improve their English) and they all liked this country.
<DIV style="MARGIN: 12pt 0cm 0pt">It's a shame that you encountered rudeness just because you don't speak perfectly French, which is a very difficult language. Indeed, it's so cute when someone try to speak French (especially with this amazing English accent).
