J.B. Thanks for the Matt Jones article. I've been following him since 2001, when he practically beat my Ole Miss Rebels by himself. It almost gave me a heart attack. He is the most exciting player to come along in a long time. I can only hope that he will be a starting reciever somewhere in the NFL.
I did not mention Luis Gonzales. He had an off year last year (.259, 17, 48). He is obviously a white looking hispanic. He plays left but his best position is probably 3rd.
Re: Matt Jones article. That was a good one! However I can't take credit for it. It was written (I believe) by the most knowledgeable person on race andsports in America: Don Wassall. To the extent that we have all had our awareness raised on this issue let's thank Don for his tireless effort to cheerlead and educate.

Oops! Sorry Don. It was a good one. I hope we get to see Matt light up the boards for many years to come in the NFL.
I learn all the time reading thevarious knowledgeable posterson this site. J.B. does a great job giving of his time and talent to educate us. "Gringoes" is a veryinteresting and original way of breaking down the ongoing hispanic invasion of baseball in a way that no one has thought of or documented before.

Yep, whitelightning, a "meeting of the minds" would be a cool idea. I know I'd learn a lot from it, just like I am here. Vegas isn't too far from Provo!

JB, that article on Eric Crouch and the others is great! I think that's the best synthesis of our argument I've read. Thanks for putting it out there. That article would make a good flyer to distribute to people to get the word out. Keep up the good work!
