Saw it. Fedor threw a right; Mitrione threw a left; knocked each other down at the same time. Mitrione, younger, got up, and finished it. Fedor's chin is gone. He can't fight anymore. Time for something else. He's still the best ever, just needs to quit now.

A perfect summation of the fight and his career. His punch resistance is gone as Mitrione couldn't carry his jock strap as Larry Holmes used to say.

Fedor in his prime had an iron chin.

Did you catch Mitrione at the mike after he won. He said, kids shut off the sound, and then he said, f u Golden State Retrievers, which is some n'r basketball team that President Trump invited to the White House but they refused to go. He said, invite me and I'll go.

Didn't catch it but my brother told me about it! Good stuff, I've always liked Mitrione. College football player turned bad ass cage fighter. He's no SJW.

Bellator has really stepped it up.

Right! He beat up the late great black hope Kimbo Slice Ferguson too.
Lol, You have to be joking about Slice being any kind of Hope, right? I mean, he was a laughing stock to anyone that followed MMA. His story was the "rags to riches" bullcrap they like to throw out, now that he's dead, but he was nothing but a name for Gary Shaw to use to compete with the UFC.

Mitrione has all the talent in the world to be a champion. Solid chin, devastating knockout power, superior athleticism to everyone at HW, and phenomenal movement.

He just can't put it together, and at 38, time is running out for "Meathead".

Fedor is still the MMA "GOAT"...the best ever!
I agree, although GSP is not too far behind, and if he comes back and reclaims his title and defends it a few times he will probably surpass Fedor.

However, if you look at it, in the scheme of MMA, Fedor was on another level. He was a pioneer, a phenom, as dominant a champion as there ever has been and ever will be.

I think he had a heart attack. An effect from PED overuse.

I agree, except with the last part. Who knows what tomorrow has?;)

Fedor was good but not the best ever, in his prime he got ko'd by Hendo, Verdum. Miocic would have taken him apart, even Arlovski was on the verge of KO'ing him but got stupid and tried to look fancy with the flying knee and got caught. I do think for sheer nastiness and mean steak Fedor was a beast....

Just my opinion...

True, but Fedor was out of his prime around 33. If you are not "enhanced", that's about the age you go down hill.

You can tell the difference between being 25 and being 33 physically, trust me. I am a Fedor fan, being as PRIDE was my MMA org of choice, and was a much better product, but to doubt him as the best HW ever is ludicrous.

He got caught by Werdum, but Hendo (another fave of mine) was on TRT, and it was only a matter of time before Arlovski's glass chin was checked.

I love Fedor. It was great seeing a humble, regular guy as champion.

He really did not look good against Brett Rogers in 2009. He won, but struggled against a mediocre opponent. Yeah, when you are not enhanced, the end comes suddenly. He should have retired after that fight.
