Seeing as how this forum is 'Happy Hour' I am always amused (or should I say distraught) at the number of serious only discussions. How about some light heartedness! What is your favorite drink from the available choices listed?

Everyone loves Coca Cola, so that's not an option

The White Brothers should drink healthy-we want to build a super race! Water, milk, soymilk, protien shakes, fresh fruit juice. Try to stay away from sugar drinks my brothers they will weaken us-let the non-whites drink coke-better for us to drink goat milk. Make all our sons look like Hercules!!

Lol, we doneed a section for politics on this board. All of these political arguments/discussion end up in the "happy" hour thread.

I am a lover of coffee myself. Besides that I drink tons of water, skim milk, and protein shakes.

P.S. Pepsi sucks, Coke is better. I only drink diet soda by the way, regular soda is too overwhelmingly sweet. It would have been funny to see the coke/pepsi crowds though.

Ironically enough I voted Tea because without it I would never wake up properly. I do love a pint milk though, especially with a good old big American double chocolate chip cookie or five.

I created the poll hastily and as such did not see an option to increase the number of options to vote for. Thus the omission of beer etc.

When my diet's not "clean" it's it's Coca-Cola or Sweet Tea (supper) and milk for dinner. If I'm tailgatin' or get a (rare) kitchen-pass it's Jim Beam to start things off & then back to coldbeer (PBR...high class all the way)!

At least a gallon of water per day and 2 cups of coffee in the morning. I rarely use dairy and have read that soy products tend to increase estrogen levels. Edited by: Alpha Male

I vote tea, and I mean sweet tea. I drink water more than anything, and gave up milk about a year and a half ago. I'm trying to nix the soft drinks too. I like grape juice quite a bit, and apple cider, but I'm trying to be more health conscious.

Alpha Male: why would you avoid milk products? The sugar in milk is a slow digesting type that does not turn to fat like simpler sugars. It delivers energy slowly over the hours. Not to mention that milk is one of the best sources of protein on the earth.

Fat free milk, Dr Pepper, sweet green tea in assorted flavors, grape juice, mangosteen, A&W root beer, Soy milk and rarely do I drink alcohol but when I do it's a wine cooler, Pina Colada or Margarita. Have never liked beer but will usually drink it when offered.

I restrict my dairy because it makes me leaner and feel better. Although, I'll have some cheese once in a while or the whey in a protein shake. My trainer claims that the calcium in dairy is poorly absorbed. I get my calcium from leafy greens and chelated calcium pills. He also preaches that humans are the only species that drink another specie's milk. Now, I know sounds a little far fetched, after all, we ingest all kinds of things derived from other species; and the weightlifting magazines claim that dairy can help you lean out. So, I'd say experiment with and without dairy and see how your body responds.

Oh, and Don, I lived in the bathroom that first month from drinking all that fluid.

Alpha Male - You have me curious about it now. I will scale down my dairy consumption for a bit this summer to see if it leans me down any. Why don't you add some more dairy and tell me if you soften up? I would really be curious to know either way, and I have always used dairy products in my lifting regimen. I'll let you know if I see any noticable changes.

Who are the people voting Pepsi on here? We need a "vomit" smily for that one...

Deal! I just orderd some whey protein. I'll pick up some skim milk to mix it with and report back in 3-4 weeks.

-1% milk mixed with rich chocolatey ovaltine (skim is too watery to tolerate)
-green tea cut with some cranberry juice
-rooibus red tea (a naturally sweet tea that is supposed to be even healthier than green, i.e. no caffeine, lower levels of tannins)
-gatorade is only for hangovers when I can't find a Jamba Juice nearby.
-I can't stand cola or really any sodas for that matter. If I'm gonna drink unhealthy, might as well get drunk doing it.
