It's time to start a thread for the South African Sprinter Emilie Erasmus. He today almost went sub 10
twice in the same day in a meet in France. He ran a 10.01 into a negative wind and also ran a 10.02 wind
legal for the win in the finals. Emilie stands 6'4 and at 26 years of age is going into his prime springing years. He got a little bit of a late start into athletics but he is a world class athlete.

Here is to him going sub 10 to become only the 6th man from South Africa to ever achieve this.

Yes, he is about to break through. Let's hope for a good start, fast track and +1.9 mile an hour wind at his next meet.

Technically speaking, a 1.9 metre per sec breeze would have got him around 9.90 that day. And the Chinese guy would have taken back Su Bingtian's record that he had held for 6 days.
Oh, that we could manufacture the conditions
