Unlikely first round hopes, when a bunch more affletes are likely going to enter early like Courtney Upshaw, Marcel Dareus, Fairley, Julio Jones..

I know that the mock-drafts have had several of those guys listed already, including guys that just announced recently like DaQuan Bowers and Akeem Ayers.

Because Bowers' is being treated as if he's "so much better than everybody else" (which is bull..) and as a guy "worthy" of a Top 5 pick, that could possibly "push-up" Kerrigan and J.J. Watt in the eyes of other teams that are looking for DEs, but we'll see. Robert Quinn, Adrian Clayborn, Cameron Hayward and Jabaal Sheard also have "hype".. so it would not surprise me if Kerrigan went in the 2nd Round. Sumo, Marvin Austin (North Carolina), was suspended for the whole season, but he still could be selected in the 1st or 2nd round.

And this will be another year that we will hear about "black linebackers' being so much better than White ones".. although, yes, several Whites should be drafted, but a lot of the "action" will likely take place between rounds 3-6.

Well this is unexpected. Luck will lose a lot of money for making this decision.

Stanford University announced Thursday that QB Andrew Luck will stay for his Junior season in 2011.

UGA WR Kris Durham (6'5, 210) has a shot a being drafted if he does well at the workouts & combine (IF he gets an invite
smiley7.gif
). He had 32 catches for 659 yards (lead the team with 20.6 yards per catch) & 3 TDs.

i caught my first glimpse of Middle Tennessee State wide receiver Garrett Andrews during MTSU's bowl game, and I think he is a sleeper to have a long NFL career. the guy can play.
610x.jpg

at 6-3, 206-pounds and possessing 4.5 speed, he certainly has the physical tools that NFL scouts allegedly covet. combine that with the fact that he's been MTSU's most consistent wideout for the past two seasons, and you know that he can play. he hasn't put up big numbers playing in an offense with scattershot-armed black quarterback Dwight Dasher (6 touchdowns and 18 interceptions this year, 4 in the bowl game), but that shouldn't hamper his evaluation by so-called "talent" evaluators. at least, it wouldn't if Andrews were black.

below is a highlight video of his sophomore year in ju-co (where he was named all-everything after catching 65 balls for 1,097 yards and 14 touchdowns). it is a low-qualityrecording of a high-quality player.

i posted this in the early 2010 wide receiversthread, as well.

Just took a look at CBS sports NFL draft section. They list their racially correct ratings of the top five prospects at each position.
Of 40 offensive players, 19 are white, but all in the approved areas, at least 3 of the top offensive tackles are white, and four of the five QB's.
On defense, I noticed a veritable explosion of whites, a whopping, wait for it, 4 out of 35. This is actually better than years past, which is very sad.

This year should see a significant increase of white defensive players drafted. Its a shame Crick didnt declare as he would have been a 1st rounder. The first 2 rounds will no doubt be full of over rated Black projects and future busts but from rnds 3-7 white players should make good value picks.Kerrigan,Watt,Wintersyk,Elmore and Laptad are DE/OLB that should be drafted.Guys like Jake Coffmann,Christian Cox and Gabe Miller[who has Barwin level athleticism]have the potential to to be drafted in later rounds with good workouts.

Colin Mccarphy is rated by many so called experts as the no2 ILB in the draft. That guy will be a tackling machine at the next level.Tank Carder if he declares,Casey Mathews[Beast],Chris White,Wujciak,Mike Mohamed,Lutrus[NFL size and speed] and Nick Bellore will be drafted if theirs any justice.Scouts are high on Ben Jacobs and Berning, colosanti,Bird could also sneak in to the later rounds.
Herzlich,Homan,Bruce Miller, Reed and Stanford stud Keiser will hopefully be drafted as OLBs.Boston College stud Albright should also get a look maybe as a FA.Theirs a few draft eligible safetys and DTs
aswell. If these players are not screwed we should see a few more dominant defensive players in the NFL over the next few years.

Some notes from East\West shrine game

<DIV style="BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; TEXT-ALIGN: left; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; : transparent; COLOR: #000000; OVERFLOW: ; BORDER-TOP: medium none; BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; TEXT-DECORATION: none">
"¢Stanford WR Ryan Whalen (6-1, 204) looked the part on film and during the weigh-in, and he showed good hands making some tough catches up near the wall in the ballroom between two defenders.
"¢ Wisconsin QB Scott Tolzien (6-2, 209) showed a much stronger arm Monday than we had seen on film. He must continue to throw well the next two days to improve his draft stock.
<DIV style="BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; TEXT-ALIGN: left; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; : transparent; COLOR: #000000; OVERFLOW: ; BORDER-TOP: medium none; BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; TEXT-DECORATION: none">
"¢ Mississippi State C J.C. Brignone (6-1, 304) started the day badly when he measured in as shorter than expected and with only 29 3/4-inch arms. It's an issue because NFL linemen with arms shorter than 30 inches usually struggle.(Is this a proven fact? I think its absurd the length of his arms matter. He's a center not a tackle)In practice, those short arms were an issue because he couldn't jolt or and get a hold of defensive linemen and was beaten consistently. He must perform well the rest of the week in pads to make amends.

"¢ Oregon WR Jeffrey Maehl was outstanding in the national championship game, almost helping the Ducks upset Auburn. On film, he is a smooth and fluid athlete with natural hands. On Monday, though, concerns about his long-term durability were heightened when he measured only 6-0 and 181 pounds.
"¢ Queens (Ontario) College OT Matthew O'Donnell definitely grabbed scouts' attention Monday when he measured in at 6-9 and 335 pounds with 35-inch arms. He is an unknown commodity, so he must shine the next two days on the practice field to be anything more than a tall curiosity.

Here is an article with some of the details. We wish him the best of luck, and hope that he can somehow get a spot on the Cubs by beating out all of the Dominicans that they are trying to stuff into the lineup to promote "diversity".

While I am a huge baseball fan, I think this Szcur news is horrible for our cause. We need more Whites playing RB and WR and he was almost guaranteed to do that. I'm also going to hate on the Cubs for first stealing Jeff Samardzija who could have been a star receiver and is now bouncing between the majors and the minors. As a 5th round pick in the MLB, Matt is hardly guaranteed making the big leagues. As a 3rd or 4th rounder in the NFL he certainly would.

Some more news for some of our white players in the East\West game

Delaware quarterback Pat Devlin garnered preseason attention for both his talent and the natural comparison to former Blue Hen and current Ravens' Pro Bowl starter Joe Flacco. He was easily the most impressive passer Tuesday. His footwork and posture in the pocket was solid and he consistently delivered tight spirals. He was generally accurate, throwing a bit ahead of or behind his target, which is largely expected in an all-star setting, as quarterbacks and receivers lack timing based on unfamiliarity. Fellow signal-callers Tyrod Taylor (Virginia Tech) and Ricky Dobbs (Navy) had nondescript performances, generally connecting on short throws but failing to make any exceptional throws.

If receiver Ryan Whalen hadn't had elbow problems in 2010, he would have put up big numbers with Stanford QB Andrew Luck throwing to him. On Tuesday, he caught every ball coming into his scope and fought through traffic to make plays. He's a bit slow into and out of his routes, but there's no doubting his toughness and reliability. Another Pac-10 receiver, Oregon's Jeff Maehl, had a rough day. He struggled to stay on his feet when making cuts and dropped a couple of very catchable balls over the middle.

Players throwing passes to those receivers, Idaho's Nathan Enderle, Wisconsin's Scott Tolzien and Texas A&amp;M's Jerrod Johnson, didn't stand out. Enderle and Tolzien were solid but not spectacular, making accurate short throws between the hashes. Neither displayed a howitzer for a throwing arm and Enderle's passes did not always come out of his hand very well. Johnson looks like the prototypical passer but his ball flight was also less than ideal, with only an occasional spiral. An NFL quarterback coach will have to work long and hard to perfect his footwork, as he rarely steps into throws or releases the ball while in balance.
*In other words Johnson will be a bust and the Bucs, Steelers, or vikings will probably draft him.

Defensive linemen Ricky Elmore (Arizona) and Ryan Winterswyk (Boise State) gave Barksdale and Letuli all they wanted. Though neither are exceptional athletes, their hustle and strength was evident at the point of attack.
What great respect these two overrachieving athletes are given...

I have to agree. In the NFL, he could've been used a lot by some team, but for the Cubs, he'll probably just be another minor league player, especially considering that the Cubs don't like white players in the outfield.

Kiper/McGay think that this is a "deep class" (read: black) of D-linemen when it really ISN'T!

How is Marcell Dareus a "Top 5 Pick?" Looks like another Andre Smiff, Leonard Davis or Mike Williams (OT from Texas, and 4th Overall pick) if some team "bites that high."

Here are several other names I saw in their 1st Round mocks:

Corey Liuget (DT/Illinois)
Adrian Clayborn (DE/Iowa)
Christian Ballard (DL/Iowa)
J.J. Watt (DE/Wisconsin)
Cameron Heyward (DL/Ohio State)
Ryan Kerrigan (DE/Purdue)

I thought the Big 10 was "slow...?"

Robert Quinn (DE/UNC)
Muhammad Wilkerson (DL/Temple)
Phil Taylor (DT/Baylor)
Drake Nevis (DT/LSU) -- (This guy seems overrated.)
Cameron Jordan (DE/Cal)
Stephen Paea (DT/Oregon State) -- (Seems overrated.)

Add Bowers' and Fairley, and that's FOURTEEN D-linemen!! That's about half of the 1st round picks! McGay/Kiper sure have a fetish for "big chocolate men." That can't be questioned at this point!

The lone White Iowa D-lineman, Karl Klug, is "conveniently" ignored.. I would pick him over several of the affletes listed above. Why do so many teams "need D-linemen," -- McGay?

EDIT: Above are the names from McGay's and Kiper's "lists" combined. Kiper's list, alone, has about 11 D-linemen and McGay's has about 13 - it seems. Hope that helps.

Here's another Linebacker to keep an eye on
#43 Winona State Linebacker Cody Dummer (6'3 - 248 lbs / 4.55 40 yd / 36" vertical / 10'2" STLJ) is preparing for his pro day at XTS Speed and Strength.

Here's his highlight video. He looks like a man among boys. Very physical at the point of attack!

Good luck indeed. While I was looking forward to seeing what he could do in the NFL if given a fair shot he has to do what he thinks is best for him.

I would bet anything that he's not going to the NFL because of the Caste system and because he knows the obstacles he faces. He was lightly recruited out of South Jersey. I know the area he grew up in very well (I have family that lives not too far away) and even though its not the most densely populated area of the country, his 4.3 speed plus big play ability should of got him at least a few FBS offers. A ton of black kids get recruited from rural areas throughout the US--why wasn't Szcur? Though I'm not happy with his decision, you have to respect it.

Just a few months ago PTI talked about Peyton Hillis being the first white guy to get 1000 yards rushing in a season in 25 years. Both hosts agreed that "racial dynamics" influence white players in to certain positions or sports and blacks players in to certain positions and sports. They in particular mentioned "fast white kids" being influenced to play lacrosse. They said they had talked to people like Chris Mullin about how often he heard he should be playing another sport.

And here we have a white kid that ran a 4.35 40 while everyone in the league is drooling over second year "speedster"MikeWallacewho "really opened some eyes" when he ran a 4.33 40 andPOOF - he's shuttled off to a more "white appropriate" sport.

And you can't even talk about this with the average sports fan without them thinking you're a crazy racist. Oh well.Edited by: Patrick

I'm disappointed Matt Szczur chose baseball too. But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a sizable increase in the # of white players drafted in April. Edited by: Van_Slyke_CF

Superspeed there are actually a lot of our guys playing in the game. Pat Devlin, Jeff Maehl, Ryan Whalen, Jordan Cameron I can think off that top of my head for offense. On defense I know CMU LB Nick Bellore, Brooks Reed, and Brandon Bair are also playing.

Good luck with the perenial loser Cubs and their ever player baseI was hoping Matt would give football a shot after he got a Senior Bowl invite. I think he could have snuck into the 2nd round of the draft and could have made an impact right away. The way I look at it he will be stuck in the minor leagues for a couple of seasons but he obviously loves the game of baseball more.
