I was reading on a forum (that may or may not be reliable) that Kevin McBride lashed out in an Irish newspaper against all the "racist" who were overjoyed at his defeat of Tyson. Seems all our blood is the same color (which is abit like saying all cars have the same H2O in the radiator), and he "respects" all fighters. Well, respect is good in principle, but if he respects the rapist thug who bit his nipple, punched him below the belt, and tried to break his arm, ye've gone daft laddy. If this be true, I find it grievous, and I'd like to ask Kevin how much money he'd loose without us "vile racists" who like seeing a white guy win.

Jerry Quarry in his day didn't want to be labeled a "white hope". What the hell is wrong with these white fighters who don't realize they are inevitably carrying the banner of their race. What, are they ashamed of their people? Have you ever seen a black who WASN'T proud to be fighting for his people?

You have never stepped foot in a boxing gym in your life. And no you dont know the mindset of the fighter these guys dont fight each other because they hate each other but because they are for the most part proffesionals doing a job. But that is something you will never understand.

This reminds of a scene from that bastion of politically theater, "White Men Can't Jump." In the scene I'm thinking of, Woody Harrelson's character comments that Snipe's character would rather look good than play good, whereas Woody just wants to win.

And yes profesional fighters do fight for money thats why they are profesional fighters. Nobody fights just for fun that is to say no profesional fighter fights just for fun the hard work that a fighter has to do precludes that. And if someone where to have the ability to make it in boxing as well as MMA he would chose boxing much more exposure bigger paychecks and a far deeper pool of competition.

McBride probably just reflects the views of many Irish. And the Irish have some odd ideas about race. In the U.S. they're the second most liberal White voting group, after Jews. Even El Paso-born, Arizona-raised (and therefore far removed from the racial agitprop so common to the East Coast) Sandy O'Conner turned out to be a flaming lib when it came to race.

MLK is a saint to many in Ireland who see a mirror of their independence movement in the U.S. snivel rights era. U2 even did a song in the great man's honor. Me no like Bono (not even his real name). I have stepped into a ring and I can say that there are many boxers, particularly black boxers who are racist to the core so don't play that noble warrior sh*t on this forum. MMA is reality based fighting where much of todays boxing has turned into a track meet.
