Gallinari's 30-point showing last night is being compared to a young Nowitzki. Very nice, but I consider it more like a young Peja Stojakovic. Danilo (6'10, 225 lbs.) is more like Peja (6'10, 229 lbs.) than he is to Dirk (7'0, 245 lbs.).

Danilo Gallinari is more Peja than he is Dirk. The 3 point barrage proves this.

I'm impressed by the faith and confidence both Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni are having on Gallinari, even saying he's the future of the franchise. There are only two white franchise players (Dirk and Nash), and Pau Gasol is nearly one himself.

If Gallinari manages to stay healthy for the entire season, and manages more games like this, he might just survive the dreadful (to me) 2010 free agency.

I might take some heat for this, but I'd like to see the Knicks sign Lebron and move him over to SG alongside Gallinari who'll stay at SF. The Knicks need help for Lee and Gallinari. Then if the Knicks have enough cap room they could try to trade for the rights to Ricky Rubio. Rubio isn't thrilled about playing for the Wolves and said he's playing out his entire contract in the Spanish League before he considers skipping over to the U.S to play in Minnesota.

Can you guys imagine a starting lineup of:
PG Ricky Rubio
SG Lebron James
SF Danilo Gallinari
PF Jordan Hill (he looks like he's better for helping the Knicks win than Chandler)
C David Lee

Bench (in no particular order of playing time):
PG/SG Nate Robinson (scoring spark)
SG Larry Hughes
SF/PF Jared Jeffries
PF Wilson Chandler
PF Al Harrington
C Darko Milicic

The Knicks still might even be able to make a sign and trade for an underrated white player like Vladimir Radmanovic or Andres Nocioni at SF off the bench- who'd be an upgrade to Jeffries. If all this happened the Knicks might just win the championship with a majority white starting lineup! They'd certainly have the best perimeter players in the league- who all could play off each other. And a front court of Hill and Lee would be VERY beastly as well!

Danilo had 27 points and 10 boards as the Knicks' upset the Phoenix Suns!

David Lee had 24 points and 8 boards.

I am surprised the Knicks have only won 4 games up to this point and have one of the worst records in the NBA. They have talent in Lee, Harrington, and Gallinari. I thought they would be about a .500 team.

Gallo had 20 points today (another losing effort). Despite the losses, he's definitely getting every possible opportunity in becoming a cornerstone player for the Knicks.

The NEXT Peja in my opinion!

That is actually a good comparison. I love this kids talent. He will be the toast of NY if he keeps this up. Like Sinatra says, "King of the Hill, Top of the Heap" in ole ny. Way to go Gallo! An up and coming star on a struggling team. Hopefully the Knicks can start to win some more games soon.

Nice game yesterday for Danilo with 21 points. He is averaging 14 ppg on the season. Hopefully this kid can make some All-Star games in the future.

Mark my word, HE WILL! As long as Mike D'antoni is the coach, he will in the foreseeable future! This guy's got uncanny shooting skills to go with athleticism. He's a young and more athletic version of Peja Stojakovic.

I can see this guy becoming a 20-6, 22-6, or 24-6 player. Just like Peja!

White players seem to flourish in D'Antoni's system. Now that the racist Isiah Thomas is gone I see nothing but unlimited potential for Gallinari and Lee.

Another spectacular game for Gallinari with 25 points and 7 rebounds. He's been showing more and more of his potential as of late. I like the fact that he's more aggresive on the offensive end and is driving more as opposed to just shooting.

Great game last night for Gallinari with 31 points on 10 of 15 shooting!  He's a future star in the making.

I wish the Knicks had more talent surounding their two best players Lee and Gallinari because with the playoffs coming up the Knicks would have been fun to root for.Edited by: guest301

I really like the job Mike has done coaching the knicks. He is not afraid to play white guys or to even let them be the star. Rare for a coach these days. I expect the Knicks to be a good team next season. Don't be suprised if the coach talks the Knicks into resigning David Lee. They will also be picking up some serious talent to help out. They are going to be a very talented team soon.

Gallinari is a stud. He should help sell alot of tickets. There are alot of italians in NY. I used to live there. I can see this kid having a great career in the Big Apple!

Gallinari is still playing while Carmelo is probably making it rain somewhere since he helped the Knicks get swept in the 1st round.

From ESPN:

Danilo Gallinari
and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a four-year, $42 million contract extension, according to league sources.

Gallinari, in his fourth NBA season, is averaging 17.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game for a Nuggets team that trails only Oklahoma City in the NBA's Western Conference and Northwest Division standings.

So it appears that my former team of rooting interest, the Knicks, got the sh*t end of that trade. Sure, ball-hog Carmelo may average a ton of points but the team still stinks. To illustrate this, look at the game last night. Anthony only had 1 point but the team won by 30. The Nuggets have far better team chemistry and far more White players. With Gallo, Mozgov, Chris Anderson, Rudy Fernandez and Koufos I will support the continued success of the Nuggets while enjoying the Knicks misery.
