This guy is incredible. He is already running close to world class times this soon! All I can say is damn. I will be in his corner rooting for this guy. I like also that he is a christian. Regardless, he is a special talent and he can make some noise on the US Scene in the near future hopefully.

We lost John Woods to Australia but at least we have a local 100/200 guy to root for from here. Way to go Dallas. Keep up the great sprinting.

Great job Jack in finding this guy. He is a freakin' stud!! He is already running 10.2 and nobody has heard of him. With his combination of acceleration and height, he will make waves in the next few years. Let's hope he keeps running.

Originally from Winterhaven, Florida, Dallas grew up in Kentucky where he graduated from Oldham County High School. Following High School, Dallas went to Morehead State University where he started 7 games at Free Safety for the football team and placed 3rd in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in both the indoor 60m and outdoor 100m dashes. After his freshman year at Morehead, Dallas transferred to Eastern Kentucky where he gave up the gridiron to focus on track. While at EKU, Dallas placed in the top 3 in the conference championship 23 times, won the indoor 60m and 200m, and outdoor 100m and 200m dashes, two times each for a total of 8 conference championship crowns. Additionally, he qualified for the NCAA Regional meet all three of his years at EKU, garnered 3 conference 'Athlete of the Week' nominations, and was recognized as the "Athlete of the Year" by the coaches of the OVC. Dallas also holds the EKU indoor 200m record and ranks amongst the top three all-time performers in school history in two other events. Following graduation, Dallas took 18 months away from the sport only to return to competition at a local track meet called the Bluegrass State games. Despite very little training leading up to the meet, Dallas broke the all time meet record running a 10.33 into a strong headwind. Dallas is getting faster and stronger every day and is ready to take the track and field world by surprise. Dallas joined the HPC Elite Team in the winter of 2007.

Dallas Robinson turned in stellar performances this weekend at the Kentucky Invitational. His times of 6.64s in the 60m and 21.10s in the 200m place him 4th and 1st in the world performance list over those distances through Jan 12. Congrats to Dallas on the wins and the great performances!

already laying out great times, I can't wait to see what this guy can do!

I belive he is 25 but I will have to double check. He is ready to make some noise. I really like his confidence in his own God given abilities. You can do it Dallas.

It`s very strange that a guy with his speed and athleticism had to play free safety at Morehead State University. If he were black, he would`ve been recruited by a top Division 1 schoolto play CB.

6`4 and with his speed...Maybe it`s best he gave up the gridiron for track. At least in an individual sport, nobody can move him to a different position more "suitable" for his color.

Isn't that something -- even at a very small football program a guy with world class speed and great size and the ability to outjump kangaroos has to play safety rather than cornerback solely because he's white.

I'd like to know what his vertical is. His jumps in the one video looked effortless.

In the comments section of the Youtube video, Dallas mentions that his vertical is around 42".

Wow, what a perfect expample of the kind of discrimination that goes on in football. I wonder how Sehorn ever got through their system.

What's the HPC Elite team? Does he have to work a job while he's training?

Yes he does work a job. Dallas works approx.45 - 60 hours a week and then trains for the olympics on top of it. He works for an auto parts store and also does some work as a personal trainer.

Can you guys imagine the energy he would need to sufficiently train properly on top of his crazy schedule? I get tired just thinkig about it.

Dallas needs a full time coach, a dietician, a sports massage assistant, and some big time sponsors to properly compete with the big boys. He would also need to quit his full time job. Let's hope he gets the chance to prove himself because this kid is special!

Apparently Dallas Robinson and Casey Combest will be racing against each other on Feb 2nd.
Incidently, both of these speedsters are from Kentucky.

Damn, I'd contribute money to this guy. He should not be holding down a full time job while he's trying to train. This guy typifies the kind of talent available here in America that no one ever hears of.

My first race - the 60m - is coming up fellas and this guy is an inspiration to white sprinters everywhere. How he is not in the NFL or on contract is a crime among crimes. Edited by: Alpha Male

Good luck to you, Alpha Male. You will have to keep us informed on your times and how you progress. Sprinting is one of the purest forms of sport and an activity that you can enjoy for a lifetime whether paticipating or watching the races. They have Sub Masters 30-40 and even Masters Divisions where you can sprint all of your life. There are guys in their 70's and 80's who still run the 100 meters.

It's funny too because the white sprinters dominate the black sprinters as we age. I'm not making this up. This is just one of many reasons why white sprinters should be more competetive in the college and pro ranks. We just need more kids to get out and run. There are alot more Wariner types out there. They don't want to wake up the sleeping giant.

I hate to rain on your parade fellas, but this guy is no football player! He hits like a female and he can't turn corners or run sideto side. Comparable to a robot. He is definitely fast though....I can't take that away from him.

If you know anything about football programs, <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Morehead State is a NON-scholarship football program. Everyone is a walk-on and everyone makes the team. It has nothing to do with race. Dallas tried out for the EKU football team but got cut after two-a-days. I know first hand because I am a 4 year letter winner there. He is soft! However, I wish him the best of luck with his sprinting. 10.22 is fast!

Peace out,
Da Truth is here!

Sounds like you are jealous that he is faster and can jump higher than you.

Not true SteveB. I'm only bringingthe truth to this discussion. There is a HUGE difference in running fast on a track and jumping on boxes thenthere is performing on a football field. You have to be "quick". You have to have lateral movements. This kid is one dimensional....He trips over his own feet when he tries to change direction. But i guess you wouldn't know this because the only football you've played was from your couch.

There are a lot of black players that fit the description you mentioned, not all da brutha's have loose hips and "wiggle." Fact is stright line speed is a good measure of athletic ability, I doubt a guy can run that fast and jump that high but be so clumsy he trips over his own feet. Please! Yeah he may not be a good football player cause that is a learned skill, but that is the whole point, why aren't players picked because of their skill, liking catching passes (Mike Hass, John Standeford) if that is what is so important.

Wrong! I was a free safety, a 3 year letterwinner, and played in two bowl games for a REAL DI football program (Texas A&M). In addition, I led the team in special teams tackles my senior year (yes I was a white special teams demon). How many bowl games have you played in?

ok, this post is going off on a tangent. who care if he has any lateral skills, he is running track. lets get back to him racing Combest. anyone want to lay down their thoughts on the results of that race. 2 fast white sprinters making a comeback, sounds like the start of a good movie.
