Whatever you do Dafne, stay as far away from Pierre Carraz as possible!

Whats funny is, Schippers discovered her ability to excel in the sprints while Training in South Florida, that is where they told her she should try both the 100-200, I guess trying different environments, training, training partners is such a bad thing according to that Guy who wont be named, Starts with a R and ends with a N

    http://www.european-athletics.org/c...article=women-100m-sprint-loaded-with-talent/

"Schippers, who plans to get back to being a multi-event athlete next season, says she is relishing her sprinting this year after being encouraged to specialise in it following her performances earlier this year during a training camp in Florida.
“My training in Florida was really good, the weather was warm. I ran times I hadn’t done before so my coach and I thought maybe I can spread the events this year to the 100m and 200m.â€￾

    200M champion!!

    Huge final by Schippers!!!
she ran a HUGE 2nd 100 to finish first in front of two Jamaïcans!! huge closure speed like Lemaitre used to do in Europe championships only this is the World's!
21.63 european record holer and 3rd performance of all tilmes behind Griffith-Joyner and Marion-Jones!..
so it's safe to say that she beat the world record!

Where is Jon Entine now? Dafne ran the 3rd fastet 200 meters in the history of the world. Amazing. Ignore all the haters Dafne. You made your country proud as well as europeans from all around the world.

She is an inspiration to watch both on and off the track. Please stay in sprinting. We have many great heptatheletes. They can't have you back. You are one of the greatest sprinters to ever step on a track and your just getting started. WOW. Incredible!

After this performance, she will not go back to the Hepathalon, she wants The Olympic Gold, and possible WR in the 200 which is possible under the best conditions, though the 100m WR probably wont be touched for another 20 years, but I can see her in the low 10.7 and possible 10.6

Acne is a indicator of PED use, dosent mean she is on it, some people just have bad skin...Her body build is due to a lot of weight training and upper body work during her hepathlete days (throws), so she will be more muscular, plus after seeing her parents and brother whom look way over 6 feet in heigh, her size is genetic. The Acne, somewhat bothers me but I dont think she is on anything

Thanks for the pic, looks like she just has that kind of skin and probably with stress, like sprinting at full speed till you bleed, will make the acne come out more. Everything else about her, not suspicious. Build, Height, is genetic and she did, and probably still does, a lot of heavy upper body lifting. Maybe Lemaitre should train with her -- sorry, had to throw that in there :)

on another note regarding her acne, if you watch the race at the start, when they announce the runners, Dafne's skin looks clear, her face and chest...after the race, you can clearly see the acne...this is most likely due to stress and nerves the body just went through on a hard run.

Very impressive.. let's just enjoy the moment and not buy into all the spin, rationalizations that others want to put on her accomplishments. See the attached article. It gives a great perspective on her will to win and desire. Obviously she has talent but a significant competitive advantage is her desire to succeed. It would be great if others we follow would maintain that level of passion...

I agree Nolan. I'm no gonna waste my time with the stupid media. We know what their agenda is worldwide. They are as anti white as you can get.

What Dafne Schippers has done is probably the biggest caste buster other than the Klitschkos. It's far bigger than Lemaitre going sub 10 and sub 20. She is the fastest 200 woman sprinter on planet earth and damn near pulled the double gold at the highest level.

This is unimaginable. Even in a movie and yet she did this in real life against a bunch of cheaters. Jamaica and many other countries have had their athletes get busted for ped use. Schippers is Danish and they don't have any history of that. She is natural and she is a phenom. Best story I've seen in over a decade. Congrats a million times to the "blonde bullet". That is one of my new nick names for her.

I don't know how Dafne is treated in the US press, but here she is welcomed quite enthusiastically -if it's a real word- on national TV who they were rooting for her since the beginning, and on the leader paper, lequipe.. look at the paper article about her (only 10 percent, the rest isn't free :) )

There was nothing about her in the US press; ESPN had nothing, before or after the race.

This is fantastic news! This young woman is a phenom. I really needed some good news after a lousy week and this brightened my day.
