This athletic freak going to Oregon was actually mentioned as going in to play Wide Receiver. At 6'5" and 225 pounds I wonder if he will excel at it or not. Athlons college football preview came out today.

WR really? Don't think so.

Colt Lyerla is enrolled at Oregon this spring and is participating in spring football camp, where he lines up at tight end.

At Hillsboro High School, the the 6-foot-6, 230-pound Lyerla played running back and linebacker, and in an interview early in spring practice, Ducks coach Chip Kelly talked about his versatility.

But it's spring football, Kelly reminds us, where emphasis is on learning -- the plays, the pace, the tempo. The point is to get as many repetitions as possible, and Lylera is taking his reps at tight end, where veteran David Paulson said he's fitting in well.

Or he could simply be a regular visitor to Infowars or even Drudge. Of course any thinking outside of the mainstream needs to be immediately crushed. He apologized for saying things that need to be said, but does he have any choice?

Hopefully Colt can get his mind right and be successful at the Pro Level after announcing leaving the Oregon program due to "personal reasons" It had been said Lyerla was the Best all-around athlete coming out of HS since Julius Peppers...which would have been about 10 years! A freakish athlete on par with former team-mate Kiko Alonso...wished Colt had stayed on the defensive side of the ball; but made a dynamic TE and even some spot duty at Tailback!

Here is another article...Why Colt should have learned from Kiko

A raw specimen with tremendous upside...quick twitch athlete...Lyerla was a possible 1st Round pick..could he have more issues than Adam Jones?? And get that many do-over chances for an opportunity??

It's a shame he isn't black as a whole media full of apologists would come to his defense, isn't that right troll?

You're wrong Matt Smith and Colt are the only D1 athletes to ever party and do coke! (Sarcasm of course).
