Andrey Jakimovski, a 6'9" forward commits to Washington State. He is supposedly the best under 20yr player in Europe.

I'm still a little suprised he didn't leave for the nba. I will say though that he can improve his game more but that what suprised me about Nico Mannion leaving after 1 year. Could be also because the U of A is about to be possibly put on probation. I heard
that they have been accused of violating 9 ncaa rules. Mannion was smart to leave. I hope McClung made the right choice to stay in school. If he is a top 10 or 20 pick in next years nba draft we will all know he did the right thing. I hope he can fit into what
Texas Tech does. No doubt that he has the talent! Good luck to Mac McClung this season and in the nba down the road!

  1. Wofford Guard Storm Murphy has entered the transfer portal. Averaged 17.8 ppg and 4apg. Very successful 4yr player there. Wisconsin could use some guard help!

Wisconsin Vs Illinois is getting ready to start. As soon as overrated Tennessee loses to average Auburn.

    * Auburn True Freshman Justin Powell has been great in the 10 games he's played this year. Should be a huge factor for Auburn going forward. Don't think they've ever had anybody for me to cheer for. I know he's been mentioned before but he's moved around last few years in HS kind of lost track of the guy!
    Powell is transferring from Auburn.

7'1 center Walker Kessler transferring out of UNC. Roy Williams couldn't find playing time for this 5-star athlete on his mediocre team. I'm sure Kessler hates seeing Michigan freshman Hunter Dickinson racking up 2nd team All-American honors after Kessler turned down that scholarship offer. Hope he finds a place that slots him into the lineup immediately.

as i posted earlier, substantial rumors have Kessler going to Gonzaga. that would be a smart move for him, as the “Olynyk Clinic” in Spokane has done wonders developing big men in recent years.

They are supposed to get Holmgren as well ( maybe they use him as a really tall Small forward?). That would be quite the combo, especially with Timme back.

That would be a dangerous trio.. Here's an article stating Kentucky could be a destination for both Walker Kessler and Justin Powell who are supposedly good friends.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nc...r-justin-powell-is-a-close-friend/ar-BB1eQteC

It would be cool if Calipari got arrested or something and they brought in a Kentucky roots coach to turn around the ship. Otherwise I’d rather they both go to Virginia or Note Dame. . Could be a college version of Dirk and Nash if they ended up at the same spot.

Good for both of them.

The situation with Jordan McCabe was extremely maddening. Most of us knew right away that signing with tHuggins was a big mistake. Here's the best part of the article that tells the whole story if you know how to read between the lines.
McCabe was a celebrated recruit, a nifty ball handler who showed up as a basketball prodigy in grade school with his dribbling.

In Wisconsin he became a high school sensation and Huggins had visions of him running his offense at the point, and recruited him.

He recruited him hard and brought him to Morgantown, but it just didn’t mesh right.

Oh, McCabe was skilled and personable, intelligent and, most of all, dedicated to the sport, to the team, to the school — a spokesman and a leader.

But he didn’t have the size and the defensive skills that Huggins really needed. Huggins wanted nothing more than for McCabe to succeed because he saw the same work ethic in the young recruit as he saw in himself, shooting at 6 in the morning and at midnight.

But when Miles “Deuce” McBride came along, he was the point Huggins needed, and that relegated McCabe to coming off the bench either to rest McBride or to let him play the shooting guard role which he probably was more suited for.
So tHuggins promises McCabe the sun and the moon to get him, since he had a lot of good offers from big programs, even though he doesn’t have “the size or defense” he really wanted or needed. Then as soon as he gets the afflete he really wants, he pushed Jordan to the side and relegated him to useless. The way he stunted Jordan’s growth for 3 years was criminal. Also, I’m not buying that BS that tHuggins wanted him to succeed more than anyone. His actions told the exact opposite story.

Sadly, Jordan was too much of a team player and decided to stick around to get his degree. He really needs to get this transfer right and take advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted and have the college career he should have coming out of HS. Best of luck to him.

Well said. Hope he can go out with a bang wherever he ends up. According to BadgerBlitz all these schools have already been in contact with McCabe!

Green Bay, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Grand Canyon, UNLV, Bradley, Purdue Fort-Wayne, Toledo, Drexel, Youngstsown St. and Marshall.

I don’t know why any white man would commit to play with Huggins, major issues with that guy. The only reason McNeal got to play this year was out of sheer excellence on his part! Had he not been able to hit 3’s from any point inside half court he would have been benched, which he was on defense in crucial parts of games.

Marquette "makes history" by hiring its first African-American basketball coach, signing Shaka Smart away from Texas. Smart had a piddling 109-86 record at Texas over six seasons, including three first-round tourney exits and a 51-56 conference record. This is a lateral move at best for Smart, so I wonder if Texas was simply happy to release him from his contract (rather than firing him and paying a buyout). Marquette's roster is coal-black already, so no changes forthcoming there. I can't recall Texas ever having any white players of prominence, so maybe their new coach will get innovative and buck that trend.

Penn State and Minnesota followed the "Juwan Howard model" by hiring black assistants rather than up-and-coming head coaches.

Trey Phipps transferring away from Oklahoma leaves the Sooners' next coach with zero white players on the roster.

Indiana's future coach will be starting with a blank slate, as six Hoosiers are currently in the transfer portal.

Very interesting news. Time's are definitely changing for Marquette.

Phipps should take a look at at Nevada with Steve Alford.

Indiana has been a mess for a while now.

Ruevers, Kopp and Harrar are in the transfer portal. Minnesota got a quadroon for their basketball coach, I support this 100%. Theres nothing worse than a little white weasel coach with an all black line-up let the black coaches do that. for all those singing coach Howards praises, give it time. He is in the Ernie Kent stage of transitioning his type of players. He already ran off Castleton, Bajema etc. its just Dickinson and Wagner are too good to not play.
John Beilen is no spring chicken but could turn around Indiana ( who I’ve hated for at least the last decade) quickly if given the chance. Could make a decent team out of Big Ten transfers alone.

Was surprised to see Reuvers put his name into the transfer portal. I thought he was done and moving on to Europe. Has 180 blocks in his career.

Trevor Anderson also entered the transfer portal. As did Guard Walt McGrory who ends up at South Dakota.

Wisconsin lands G Issac Lindsey. 6'4 170 SG coming back from an injury.

The Groves brothers are now in the portal. Indiana hired Mike Woodson, which is great news. They only play blacks anyways, let them have a black coach which is unrelateable to seal the death of their past time.

This portal could open up an opportunity for 3-4 whites to team up and go to a down program. It might be the best chance to have 3 or more white starters we have had in a while.

Terrible hire for Indiana as the Big Ten brings on another black assistant coach to lead a program. The Hoosiers have played plenty of whites in the past decade, and the new coach would have an empty roster to fill however he chooses. Someone like ex-Hoosier and current MSU assistant Dane Fife would have recruited white athletes. Indiana decided to go in the other direction. The whitest power conference in college sports keeps making strides toward going fully woke.

It really is. Not that I condone this line of thinking, but if they were insistent on hiring a black for woke reasons, there are better options than Woodson. Woodson is one of those recycled coaches who’s failed badly everywhere he’s been. He’s an old dog who won’t learn any new tricks either. I’d wager with nearly anyone, he’ll be fired before his 6 year contract expires.

Coverdale, Fife, Roth, Zeller, there was a good kid about Etherington? 7-8 years ago that transferred to pre-woke Butler. I honestly cant remember any not walk-on/ role player in at least 10 years. They have 2 exotic looking white freshman now and one that was supposed to be coming in. But thats usually a coaches Hail Mary at the end to show why they suck. Maybe there have been a couple ole Bud Light has erased but it started with Creen and just got worse.
