The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree when it comes to Tommy Bowden. Only 5 white starters ,but Whitehurst is pro prospect.

Good work on the starting lineups, KG. Clemson actually has a small increase in white starters. In recent years 2-3 has been the norm.


There is very little variance in most I-A programs and NFL teams from year to year, other than whites are slowly but surely being squeezed out of their last two strongholds of o-line and QB. Starting o-linemen may be majority black in the NFL this year for the first time.

Man Don, that would be horrible if that were to happen this year. I wonder what those people who currently say the only positions whites are best at are QB and OL will say when they become a minority in their positions? Something to think about .

I looked at Clemson's new recruits and I think of approximately 26 atheletes signed for schollys for 2005, only two were white. I think one was a wide receiver, however.
