Vitali fought like Jess Willard with his hands low.

I miss the old fights between Werewolf and Matt Giannone, Tim Dwight 28 and Clu Clutz Klam

I remembered this fight like it was yesterday. He lost to Tate but later beat Michael Dokes for the title. A great night for being a white man.

Thank you werewolf for this fight. Quarry was a big time underdog in this fight, but come through big against the hardest punching hw at the time. He gave a lot of credit to Gil Clancy his trainer for the win. He was really just in the wrong era to win the title.

He would have fought as a cruiserweight today and he would have been great.

Shavers conducted himself well in defeat. He had won 33 in a row before that fight, and 44 out of 45, all but one by KO.

Alcoholism was the dagger that doomed Quarry's career prematurely.

Most black athletes back then spoke proper English and conducted themselves as decent people outside of the ring.

Rocky with his 67" reach and just killing everyone 30 lbs heavier than him, 6" taller than him, and many with 10" more reach. He defied three big boxing principles. What the hell kind of cruiser would he make today??
