there was a thread somewhere about the tendency of vicious attacks (cheap shots) on White basketball players via their darker opponents. sadly, i couldn’t find that thread, but there was recently yet another example of this practice. did anyone else see it?

the White victim plays for Tennessee, and the black assailant (though, as is usual, there were no criminal charges filed) plays for Florida. see video below.

i can’t think of a single occurrence where a White player initiated something like this, though i could obviously be missing one (or some?). the closest i could come to was Grayson Allen’s intentional trippings.

The mudshark tripping over herself to give him a gatorade is as American as Apple Pie.

Fulkerson of course took the high road and declared the thug that attacked him called him next day and said he felt sorry. Whatever, I would have said stick your apology where the sun don't shine and watch your back next time I'm on the court.

If you're looking for a counter-point, Wisconsin's Brad Davison is the new Grayson Allen, in that he's a white player who has made some "hustle fouls" and is now justifiable for the DWF to hate. Of course, there's no racial angle involved, and frankly I don't even really see the big deal. But, the world is always ready for a dog-bites-man narrative, so there you go.

Haha I'm a Wisconsin fan and I can see why! He pisses me off sometimes with flops and is always diving. Probably one of the only players I can think of that annoys me with his over hustling LOL! I know that is nitpicking but It's a shame he'll be remembered as such a pest, he had a lot of potential as a Younger Player with his scoring ability. But that has pretty much fallen off in his latter college career. Hoping he has a good March !

You'd probably have to go back to the days of Bill Laimbeer.

I know more recently, Steven Adams (who’s not even fully White) was attacked as a “dirty player”. From every example I saw, it was just a physical big man playing with attitude and toughness. They just seem to hate White athletes who play hard-nose defense.

I always loved seeing how Badass The White Stars of 70s and 80s were compared to the pansies in The League now. Back when there was still some White Primacy in our Country I suppose and Men were Men. The old Celtics and Pistons teams didn't take any ****!
