Nice homage (by Google itself) to the most famous star of the silent film
era.

I've always enjoyed his films, possibly the best ever in slapstick comedy. Only the Marx Brothers, and Three Stooges would rival him.

But, he was more than that, he could do drama, and was simply a wonderful actor/entertainer overall. Happy 122nd Birthday!

Der Führer was no fan of Chaplin. The NSDAP film "Der Ewige Jude" (a classic, must see for WNs) stated Chaplin was a tribesman. Chaplin's 1940 film "The Great Dictator" mocked Hitler...and (no surprise) was nominated for Academy awards. Even if Chaplin wasn't a jude, he was a lefty that was suspected of communist activities.

Yes, he was a commie weasel. We spoke of the little rodent's activities several years ago in an informative thread.
