Anyone heard of Chad green? He was a star running back for Mentor High school in Ohio and was recruited by Lou Holtz then at Notre Dame. He decided to play baseball instead and starred at Kentucky. Dubbed by Baseball America as the fastest player in the draft--forget the year at top of my head--mid 90's. A real speed merchant the LSU coach said he was the fastest no doubt about it. Unfortunately Chad's career never took off despite a strong rookie season. Mired in the minors all these years I think he might be out of baseball but not sure--he reached triple a somewhat recently I believe. I saw him play at double A a few years ago.

Anyway at 5'11 and 185 or so Chad strikes me as a guy who would have been better playing football--at either running back or corner. Don't get me wrong i love fast center fielders. But I think Chad made the wrong choice in choosing baseball over football. Shame any way you look at it because he was back then a speed demon who some suggested should run in the olympics.
