    A truely inspiring moment occurred in golf this afternoon when the gallery relentlessly cheered for Tom Watson as he walked the 18th fairway. Every person in attendance (as well as myself) though Watson was 4 shots away from the title....if only he could have made that short put!

    Notice, as Don implied, Watson handled himself with TOTAL class after losing the 4-hole playoff (unlike God Himself, who would have probably bludgeoned Stu Cink with a driver after losing). Cink beat Watson fair and square, and did so with humility and respect for the aging veteran. If Tom truely said that he "doesnt give a damn about Tiger," then he has more courage than any athlete on this planet.

    For all intents and purposes, Tom Watson won that cup today. As a white athlete, he did us all proud today. Edited by: Thrashen
