Brian Shay ended his collegiate career as NCAA's All-Time, All-Division rushing leader (6,958 yards), all-purpose yardage leader (9,301 yards), touchdown leader (88), and scoring leader (544).

he also ended his career with 17 records and the 1998 Harlon Hill Trophy, given to NCAA Division II's top player. he received the most first-place votes EVER.

he was considered "too-small" to play with the big boys of DivisionI (read that as too-white), but was selected to the January '99 Senior Bowl All-Star Game after his senior year. he led his team in rushing with 76 yards and led his South team to the victory.

he then led the Berlin Thunder in rushing in 2000 before playing in the XFL. to my knowledge he never even made it to an NFL training camp...

he was with Chiefs for over a season, never made the active roster though. After his return from NFL Europe Chiefs cut him, even though he was 3rd leading rusher of that competition.
