Jared Zambransky rushed 10 times for 123 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 69-3 victory tonight over Hawaii.Jared
had a 85 yard touchdown run and showed he has some of
the quickest feet of any qb in the country. The only guy
that I have seen close to Jareds speed is Matt Jones of
Arkansas.Boise State is 7-0 and is in the top 15 in the
nation. They are way underated. This team can probably beat
anyone in the country. They fly to the ball on defense and
can not be stopped on offense. They have a all star receiver in TJ Acree and everyone on this team can run
and catch. They are so fun to watch. They give defenses
fits.I give credit to ESPN for airing alot of games because these kids from Idaho can play!Watch for their
coach to leave and go to a bigger progam after this year.
The money will be too hard to turn down.

What a performance by Boise State! You're right that Dan Hawkins is going to be in great demand to "move up" in the coaching ranks. Let's hope he stays right where he is but you can't blame him if he doesn't as he is young and in demand with the job he is doing.

Acree was the leading receiver for Boise, and tailback Jeff Carpenter had a 26 yard touchdown run, but this was Zabransky's game. 38 points in the third quarter alone -- simply awesome. What makes it doubly sweet is that this game was supposed to be all about Hawaii's starting QB Tim Chang breaking Detmer's career yardage record. Zabransky is just a sophomore. Go BSU!

Well Boise State is 8-0 and has moved up to #14 in the
latest polls.I think that they should be in the top 10
easily but you know that if your not a big school, then
you are screwed.I would love to see them,Utah, and Wisconsin all run the table and go undefeated. All 3 of
these teams have caste friendly squads and are fun to
watch.

I agree those three are the best to root for. There's five other teams in the Top 25 that deserve honorable mention -- #6 Cal, #12 WVU (surprisingly almost half the starters are white though the QB isn't), #20 Iowa (always one of my favorites), #23 Arizona State, and #25 Boston College.

They do it again in double overtime to win 56-49.It wasn't pretty but that is their 20th straight victory which is the longest streak in Division IA College Football.Congrats to the Broncos. They were 10th in the
BCS Standings coming into today. They have 2 tough games left but they should finish undefeated.

That was a close one! Can't win 'em all by blowouts. Was nice to see the freshman running back score three TDs.

If Texas A & M can beat the Texas Longhorns this weekend, then Boise State will play in the Fiesta Bowl.
This is great news if it happens.Go Boise!

Texas won so Boise State will get screwed even though they probably will finish the season undefeated.Boise
State plays Nevada tommorow. The game should be a great one and it's on ESPN. You will see Nevada with one of the
best white running backs in the nation,Chance Kretschmer vs Boise St. with 2 quality white running backs and great white receivers.Zambransky is also one of the best
quarterbacks in the country for B.State.I'm looking forward to this game! Just another reason why we need a true national championship playoff in college football.I think they should keep the major bowls but add a 2 game
playoff with the top 10 teams battling it out.

Some say that the best thing about the BCS is that
it's different from every other system. Different isn't
necessarily better. I don't get it. Last year's
"co-champ" thing was such a disgrace. Yeah, it's
different, in the sense that everyone else has the
sense not to implement a system that allows
"co-champs", and where there's no opportunity for a
Cinderella team to win.

The game is starting right now guys.It snowed it Nevada today so the field is wet and slippey. They had to snow plow the field for gametime.I see Chance having a huge game running the ball but Boise has too many weapons.I
am anxious to see who Boise State will match up against in a bowl game. They should be in a BCS Game but we all know how that goes.

Mike Gottfried sounds like he's drunk. He's one of the worst announcers of all when it comes to going along with the anti-white bias in football. Maybe he'll be forced into rehab and lose his job!

Unfortunately Kretschmer didn't have a big game. It
didn't look like he had very many holes to run
through, which probably had more to do with Boise
State's defensive line than any deficiency on his part.
They're undefeated for a reason! Acree had a big
game though.

Kretschmer also split tailback duties in the game. He received no recognition from the announcers (such as leading the nation in rushing as a freshman), at least when I was listening. Same thing with Helmandollar. You'd think it might be noteworthy to mention that he had scored 10 TDs in the previous 3 games, an incredible accomplishment for a freshman. But it wasn't mentioned, though again I didn't watch the entire game, only most of it.

Helmandollar did have 2 more rushing TDs, Acree had a nice game (6/105/1), and Zabransky was more than solid again. Another huge offensive game on a partially frozen field.

The first week of the college football season features Boise State playing at Georgia. That should be a real interesting contest. According to The Sporting News, Boise State "has no business playing Georgia, with its elite athletes and home-field advantage." Elite athletes, hmm, I wonder whatthey meanby that.

Georgia is replacing record-setting quarterback David Greene with D. J. Shockley, a black who according to TSN is one of those "elite athletes." But this "elite athlete" couldn't beat out Greene for three consecutive years. Seems he has "accuracy" problems and can't read defenses. Why thenis he an "elite athlete" when he can't play his chosen position at a high level?

At any rate this should be a great game to watch, with Jared Zabransky, Helmandollar and all the rest of Boise State's "inferior athletes" taking on the Bulldogs in Athens.

Man oh man,I can't wait.Boise State puts up points like
Byu used to years ago. They are by far the funnest team
to watch in all of college football. They will suprise
these guys.I smell an upset. With all of the touchdowns
Helmandollar was scoring last season,I can't wait to
see him get more carries all throughout the game.He
could end up being better than Forsey in another couple
of years.

I hope Boise State does beat Georgia. Ole Miss couldn't beat them from 97-02 (pathetic), so maybe Boise will get some revenge for me on that game. I doubt Georgia will be close to the same team as last years. I sure wish I could get those JP games in Utah!

Boise State's possible white starters for 2005 include the following.

Offense
QB-Jared Zabransky
RB-Jeff Carpenter
FB-Brad Lau or Jon Helmandollar
TE-Derek Schouman or Sherm Blaser
RT-Jeff Cavender
RG-Pete Cavender
C-Joe Weigand or Jeff Beiderman
LG-Tad Miller
LT-Daryn Colledge

Defense
LE-Mike Dominguez or Tim Volk
RT-Andrew Browning
RE-Mike G. Williams
MLB-Korey Hall
Will LB-Chris Barrios
Sam LB-Colt Brooks
Rover-Marty Tadman
FS-Cam Hall

WR Vinny Peretta will likely see some action this year, as will CB Chad McKibben and LT Nick Schlekeway on defense. You won't find a whiter Division 1 University than BSU except for BYU. The two teams play each other periodically.

I see Helmandollar is listed as a FB. Too bad, because he looked unstoppable running the ball last year. No starting white receivers this year either, but they'll still be a fun team to root for. Great work putting the data together on all these teams, Reb!

Thanks Don! I am trying to get these guys names out there to the fans of each team early so they can get ready to root for them this season. It is disappointing about BSU's receiving corps, as there is only one white in the mix, and he will probably not see the field this year; but as you say, we still have a lot to cheer about.

Boise State has their spring ending Blue-Orange game on the 14'th at 6:30 PM. They had their 2'nd scrimmage on the 7th. The 3 top rushers were white and the 2 top receivers were also white. Looks like John Helmandollar and Brett Denton will share the running load at this point. Max Davis will probably get some carries next season. Here's the link to the full stats for the scrimmage.

Here's an article from the Spring game Friday, and some stats.

by: Todd Miles (4/14/2006)
Chris Petersen

BOISE, Idaho - The outcome of Friday's Spring Game at Boise State came down to one play. With the Blue Team (first team offense/second team defense) trailing 7-6 with a minute to play in the fourth quarter, coach Chris Petersen decided to go for two after scoring a touchdown.

With the right to eat a post game steak on the line, cornerback Orlando Scandrick jarred the ball out of Drisan James' hands to break up the pass and clinch a 7-6 win for the White Team (second team offense/ first team defense) in front of nearly 6,000 fans at Bronco Stadium.

"We didn't have enough steaks for everyone so we had to go for two," Petersen said referring to the pregame stakes involving steaks. The winners got a steak dinner after the game which wrapped up spring drills, the losers had to settle for good old fashioned hot dogs.

While the spring finale was low scoring, the offense seemed to get the better of the defense except when it came to getting in the end zone. Both offenses were stopped at the 1-yard line in the scoreless first half.

Quarterback Bush Hamdan (White Team) led the second string offense on an impressive 97-yard drive that moved the ball from their own 2-yard line to the Blue's 1-yard line for a first and goal. After a failed pass, a sweep and a quarterback sneak for no gain, Hamdan fumbled the snap on fourth down and goal and the White failed to score.

The Blue rallied marching down the field with time running out, but they came up a yard short when Jared Zabransky was tackled at the 1-yard line as time expired in the half on a 30-yard scramble.

Both teams were held scoreless until late in the game. The White got on the board first thanks to a big defensive play by cornerback Quinton Jones.

Jones picked off a Zabransky pass and returned it 28 yards to the Blue's 21-yard line. The Blue took advantage scoring on a 5-yard pass from Hamdan to Aiona Key for a 7-0 lead.

The White team rallied behind Taylor Tharp. Tharp hit Legedu Naanee with a 6-yard touchdown pass to set up the thrilling 2-point conversion try.

Tharp completed 8 of 9 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown and had a quarterback rating of 194.63. Hamdan connected on 11 of 18 passes for 121 yards and finished with a quarterback rating of 171.90. Nick Lomax (White Team) was 4 of 5 for 50 yards with a rating of 164.00.

Zabransky led all rushers with 42 yards while Jon Helmandollar (White Team) had 40 yards.

James caught six passes for 86 yards, while Helmandollar had three catches for 54 yards and Key had three catches for 24 yards.

Kyle Gingg and Jones finished with interceptions, both picking off Zabransky. Gingg, Scandrick and Nick Schlekeway led the White Team with four tackles each. Rashaun Scott and Dallas Dobbs topped the Blue Team with seven tackles apiece.
