This is mostly gibberish but I thought I'd share because the "writer" makes the brilliant point that "
It is sad to note that there are more Black quarterbacks on the bench than those that are starting."
Maybe he thinks it's racist that there are more black running backs on the bench than starting too...

Maybe someone should point out that their are more white QBs on the bench than starting too. Come to think about it there are more white linebackers on the bench than not, more safeties, tight ends......RACISSSS!

"There is something wrong with this picture when over 65% of college quarterbacks are African American.

What happened? Do these men forget how to play the position when they enter the pro level?"

Huh? 65% of college qbs are not black, not even close.

It's a black guy, and math. Don't expect it to be right. Numbers be raciss anyway. Black people already think they are 50% of the population because they see so many on TV. Especially the nightly news.

No kidding. Some years back I was in a group conversation that included a very loud black woman. For some reason Vietnam came up and she spewed out the old myth that most of the casualties were black, and that "We was losing two thousand men a day!"

I tried to point out how off the mark her figures were, but she didn't want to hear it. She just didn't seem to have a grasp of the quantity behind the word thousand.

In trying to find out where the writer got that # (65% of college QBs are black) I googled "percentage of black QBs in college" and the first hit said "less than 1/3 of the 65 QBs (playing in the PAC-10, Big 12, etc) are black." That's the only explanation for where the number 65 comes from, needless to say it's baffling how he misread it. Real shoddy journalism...

The writer is an idiot. I think the percentage of starting black quarterbacks in college football is around 20-25 % tops.

There is some ridiculous article on Draft Daddy written by black columnist Mike Freeman that RG III gets the Cam Newton treatment where he is " fake " and unintelligent.
The part of the article that irked me was that he called all NFL analysts " antiquated " in their views and compare all black qbs to other qbs. As if every white wr despite size or athletic ability is not compared to Wes Welker. This writer is just another paranoid punk loser.

What happened to Vince and Jamarcus?

On this date, back in 2007, Vincent Paul Young Jr. (the 3rd overall pick in '06 draft) was coming off a rookie season in which he won the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of The Year and played in the Pro Bowl. Meanwhile, JaMarcus Trenell Russell, the first overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, signed a $61 million contract and the Caste media and the DWF's were frothing at the mouth, ready to see him play for the Oakland Raiders.

Today, Young (age 29) and Russell (just turned 27) are both out of football. It's doubtful Russell will ever play again, in any league. Young might've also reached the end of the line, being let-go by ultra-Caste clown Andy Reid after the 2011 season and now being cut by the suddenly odious Buffalo Bills.

What does the future hold for Scam and Griffin, once they are expected to win games and not just display "eye popping" skills and athletic ability?

I'm suprised about Young I thought he would at least ride the pine in the NFL. If he is not picked up I suspect there is more to the story than what the caste media is saying.

Anyone notice this fairly new caste term for quotabacks - wrist flick - every time i hear an announcer talk about a black qb they seem to have some magical wrist flick that makes them have amazing rocket arms - if you have not heard it just pay attention - just another term in the caste whore vocabulary

Young was viewed as locker room cancer in his final days with the Titans. He also has had a lot distractions off the field with fraud artists impersonating him , bar fights and suicidal moments, couple that with his terrible pocket presence and you have a guy who isn't worth having around....

Haha. And 100% of the good guys.

I have always thought that Montana's successor Steve Young was the only truly successful "running quarterback."

It's tough for any QB (black or white): Contemplating the option to run on top of all the possibilities/challenges one sees in the field for the pass. You really have to know when running is the better option so intelligence and quick decision making ability is even more critical for the running quarterback. Foot speed is certainly necessary but, IMHO, quick decision making ability even more so. In fact, if you make poor decisions the ability to run well may become your greatest liability. And certainly, if your main objective is to look good and make the highlight reel with a bunch of nice long runs, so that the brothers are jumping up and down at home, you're not of the right mindset to be an effective running quarterback.

Theoretically a relatively high IQ black could make it work but I think it is more likely the next great "running quarterback" will be white. And frankly I won't be inclined to hold him in any higher esteem than the equally effective and successful pocket passer. It's what works. Not what looks good.

Nice catch on "wrist flick". I don't think it's all that new, but I do think you are the first to point it out as a caste term. I remember Michael Vick's throwing motion being described that way in college. You're right, it's used often, and ALWAYS in reference to a black QB.

"Wrist flick" and "loose hips". Are they describing football players or ..... another, much older profession?

I think it is a disadvantage for a QB to be a good runner. The QB should never think running is a good option. He should always be moving around in the backfield looking for an open receiver. The problem as noted with running QB's is that they panic and take off instead of looking for a pass option. It will always be easier to get yards by throwing the ball to someone already downfield rather then taking off and trying to run.

The "worst" running QB's were/are guys like Brady, Manning, Marino, etc. And note that any one of them was adept at scrambling for yards and sliding if it absolutely had to be done. They also were adapt at moving in the pocket and avoiding big hits, and not being hit, which often happens when you run and is the key to longevity. Guys like McNabb and Culpepper became good QB's after they stopped running so much.

I agree that it can be a negative for a QB to trust his legs. The best QB runs are when the QB steps up in the pocket, nobody is open, and they make a decisive move to take off because they see daylight. Roger Staubach and Ken Anderson in the 70s were really good at it. Neither of them produced many highlight reel runs, but they picked up a lot first downs that kept drives alive. Staubach would slide, Anderson ran out of bounds. They were not running out of panic, unlike a lot of what we see today. Notice how the "next great black QB" is always compared to Cunningham or Vick. It's never to Warren Moon. I guess he didn't "make plays with his feet" enough.

Some sites have five quotabacks in the top 10 overall for next years draft. I don't expect it to be that bad but Geno Smith, Logan Thomas, and EJ Manuel will probably be drafted next year. Most likely at least two of these affletes will be pushed into starting positions somewhere no matter how bad they are.

except none of them are really good at running, so they don't fit the "prototype",besides being black (which will probably qualify them). Collin Klein and Taylor Martinez are two great dual threat qbs.

Well it's almost a certainty that more black qbs will be forced into a francise role. This a critical time. We have a wealth a great white qbs in the NFL holding off the media onslaught of the "new breed' of qb. College football has turned into a black qb love fest and the NFL draft has followed suit. We've had Cam Newton declered the greatest thing since sliced bread followed by RGIII who John Madden considers the best player in the NFL after one game! There is hope though as these proclaimed newbreed massiahs have all predictably been epic fails. From the Kordell Stewart experiment to Donovan McNabb exiting football at a prime age to Vince Young relagated to psychopathic observer to Michael ConVick getting Andy Reed fired (still to come) to Cam Newton (failure in progress) - they have all failed. RGIIIs time will come.

My only fear is that the league is or will become so black that some day in the near future people will forget what a good qb looks like. How long can great white qb play hold off the black hounds of hell? When college quarterbacking has become so black isn't it almost inevitable that the NFL will follow? And when there are less and less white qbs and more black offensive and defensive lineman how will that affect the effort on the field? Blacks are extremely racially programmed to root for their own. We have seen numerous examples of blacks playing hard for other blacks and laying down for whites. How long can we hold on?

Black QBs have been forcefed into the Canadian Football League to the point that one now expects teams to have one starting. From what little I see of the Arena League, it too appears to have a lot of non-White QBs.

All professional football leagues are overwhelmingly black, as are most major college programs. The SEC is the template for the NFL. The continuing failure of most quotabacks in the NFL is the only thing thus far preventing the league from being majority black at the position. But the increasing number of black backup QBs is an ominous sign, akin to the way the league loaded up on black assistant coaches before they started becoming head coaches in appreciable numbers. The Caste System has been spread so far and wide that it will only be considered completely triumphant when the "most important position in sports" is dominated by "the world's greatest athletes."
