benidickt magnusson has set a new world record in the deadlift with a lift of 1015 lbs. He did it on april 2 2011, he is 27 and is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 380 lbs, there is a video of the lift on you tube

That is impressive! I think I would've done well at competitive powerlifting had I gone that route. In 8th grade at 5'5" and 124 pounds, and after only 6 months of lifting, I was deadlifting 320-330.

That was fricken intense, man. I liked the way he barely set up; he just ran over and lifted it, then held it looked around a little as if to say "that's all you got."
