Congratulations to the Bellarmine University men's college basketball team, with a finishing record of 33 wins and 2 losses (http://athletics.bellarmine.edu/roster.aspx?path=mbball). They just won the Division Two National Championship! FOURTEEN of the seventeen men on this year's roster are white, including the top five players in rebounds, and four of the top five scorers. The head coach is Scotty Davenport, who spent nine seasons on the staff of both Coaches Denny Crum and Rick Pitino at the University of Louisville.

Congratulations to Bellarmine. I find myself watching less and less Division 1 basketball lately. I will give more attention to Division 1. Thanks for posting.

Nice to see White dominated teams tearing it up in the lower divisions.

i had the privilege of watching the first half of this game with my dad today. Bellarmine started an all-White five, and not surprisingly every one of them could shoot, pass, and reboundthe ball. their opponent BYU-Hawaii (as was mentioned previously in another thread) had a majority-White team that was devoid (at least of any players that saw the floor in the first half) of black players. they also had a roster stacked with dead-eye shooters, most notably an asian-descent shooting guard.

for anyone who hasn't seen beautiful basketball (ie., not the ghetto style we're "treated" to in the NBA and NCAA Division I) that displays the skill that the game was intended to be played with, this was an excellent chance to change that. i'm sure it will be uploaded somewhere on the internet in the near future.

I would wager that MANY of these top Division II players could play in the
incredibly overrated Big East.

Are they reshowing the game anywhere?
