I thought maybe, just maybe this would be a chance for Andrew Shanle. He was with the Bears in training camp. 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety with speed and brains. A true student of the game, who is a safety, already knows the scheme, has tremendous upside, and is a special teams standout. So what do the Bears do?? They sign aCB that couldn't even cut itwith the Redskins? WTF is wrong with this picture?

I expected this. Mike Brown lacks physical toughness. Four years in a row is no fluke or coincidence. It is a shame too because Brown plays hard and keeps his nose clean. It is also a shame however that the Bears didn't see this coming and left themselves thin in the secondary. Now with Dusty done as well the Bears may find themselves vulnerable to the run like last year. As far as Shanle goes, I doubt he has any chance, if anything and the Bears decide they need another body they will likely go with Josh Gattis on the practice squad.
