Andre Ward is yet another up-and-coming media darling black. All the talk is about what skills and potential he has. And I'm saying, if he's so great, why is he fighting unskilled, smaller, (and of course, white) bums like Ashworth? I'm so tired of this in boxing, you might as well film fighters hitting the bag as some of the "opponents" they step in the ring with. The public deserves fights that are at least remotely equal.

And of course, Ashworth showed his ass the whole fight, fouling with shots on the break, and otherwise using antics and "trying to out-******* a *******" in an effort to get Ward to brawl in close. In the 3rd round, Ashworth even threw Ward down, got a back mount on his prostrate opponent, and landed a couple of punches. Amazingly, the ref didn't DQ him right there but let the fight go on, but soon he did DQ Ashworth for holding Ward in a tie-up and pounding him on the back of the head. Indeed, Ashworth might well have won a mma match or a streetfight with Ward, but this was a boxing match, and the idiot ought to be kicked in his stern till his nose bleeds. Where did they dig up this bum? What was the purpose of matching him against such a superior boxer, except to embarass white people?

Sturm might become champion but he wont dominate anything Taylor Ouma & Ikeke could beat him at any time. The only one at MW right now i would say is a sure bet to beat Wright is Hopkins provied he has'nt slipped to much. With Hopkins gone Wright could unify and dominate the divisons for years. Abraham and Foreman dont even matter at this time and place.


Pavliks record means nothing at 25-0 you should already be in line for a titleshot or hae a regional title .


If Hopkins leaves the MW division undefeated and gives up the belt i see the divison shattered for years. Taylor will grab a belt Ouma probably will . Sturm might get a belt too . Wright will get a belt . It will take years to get all these guys to fight each other and unify the belt .

Ward is fighting bums to pad his record big deal the reason its on national tv is BECAUSE WARD IS A GOLD MEDAL WINNER. Being an Olympic hero Ward gets early tv exposure by his promotors and handlers its a good story to sell they did the same with SRL. Tell me where Ward fought worse fighters in his first then other Olympic prodigies . Talents and prodigies are given a supply of bums to fight until they are deemed ready to fight better competition.
