Caught a little bit of ESPN's lame morning show "Cold Pizza", and some new guy (don't know his name) was praising Curtis Martin. He criticized Monday Night Football for talking too much about Ricky Wiliams, and should've talked more about Martin. What?? All they did was talk about Martin. Then he said how classy Martin is, and to paraphrase: "you don't need to be like Jeremy Shockey or Mark Gastineau. You can be classy like Curtis Martin." Who could believe that it's a coincidence that he "just so happens" to favorably compare Martin to two white players, when there are so many black jerks he could've compared him to. Owens, Sapp, Keyshawn Johnson, Deion Sanders, Chad Johnson, crackhead/ whoremonger Lawrence Taylor, and many, many more, I'm sure. Also, this reflects the fact that white players who act black are not respected. Black players like Terrell Owens are "colorful characters" who are "just trying to entertain the fans". White players like Shockey and high-steppin' David Kircus are seen as clowns and not favored by the media. But we've all gotten used to these double standards, haven't we....
I was listening to a nationally syndicated radio sports show and a pro-Red Sox commentator was ripping on the Yankees. A caller referred to Yankee Stadium as "the House that Ruth Built". The Red Sox announcer sarcastically remarked: "More like the House Dale Berra's crack dealer built" The other (white) announcers roared in laughter. I thought to myself "what's so funny?". Firstly is Dale Berra the first substance abuser that comes to mind when you think of the Yankees? No! Do you even think of Dale Berra when you think of the Yankees? No! he only played in 90 games career for the Yanks. So really all the guy was doing was thinking of some former Yankee, that was white, that was a drug abuser, so he could make a joke. pathetic! I'm in Minnesota this week and a guy told me the following joke: What is the difference between a dollar bill and Randy Moss? You get 4 solid quarters out of a dollar bill.
and that's why i say Wariner is not a role model for whites and serves no purpose to furthering our cause of racial pride despite the fact that he won golds. there are cultural standards to adhere to and the white guys you mentioned, along with Wariner do not. sell out whites are worse than any Terell Owens' out there.
A question for you Andreas.Do you not sometimes get just a little enjoyment out of watching Jeremy Shockey catch the ball and then proceed to run over around 3 or 4 guys trying to tackle him. Then he will stand there and stare them down to let them now that he is one bad ass white boy. It's no different than Alstott or Romonowski staring & jawing at a black athete that they outplayed.I think that you are being a little too hard on these guys.Every time I have ever played ball, the brothers talk a mean game.It gets old and sometimes like Shockey you want to do it back to them to make them feel like crap.Shockey is a good ole boy from the south who loves rock n roll, women, food, and beer.He is not a wigger although people try to say he is because he is *******y!Jack Lambert was one of the most *******y linebackers of all time.People feared him,& he talked a mean game.He wasn't a wigger!I really think that sometimes a white athletes worst fans are white fans who are brainwashed.White guys are tired of always being submissive and quiet. We are standing up for our rights more & more on and off the field. As for Wariner,in my mind,he is possible the one of the greatest american sprinters ever.Right up there with the legendary Bobby Morrow. He is a good guy and we need to give him a break.Just my opinion and I look forward to your reply.
I was referring to the way that they're perceived by the media, and how that's a double standard. The media is full of jerks who disrespect white athletes. And you know what? I don't think they're clowns, and I don't care if some ***hole in the media thinks they are. He probably won't like them regardless of what they do. They're just immature. I have no difficulty with forgiving them for that. They're still role models because they're terrific athletes. Any white athlete who excels as a sprinter, jumper, receiver, shortstop, base runner, etc., are "role models" because they are defying the negative perception of white athletes' ability. That "serves a purpose". It's annoying to see them act dumb, but it does not outweigh their athletic achievements. Wariner is the first white American to win an Olympic sprint since the 60's. He beat the seven best black 400 meter sprinters in the world. That's what he'll be remembered for, not his jewelry, sunglasses, or a quote in an obscure Internet article.
Super-liberal Bill Walton spouting mumbo-jumbo, racial pandering, gobbledee******* regarding aspiring rap artist Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers: http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/motion/showcase/index?vi deos=1921803 Some of these links don't work because the urls are too long. If you're unable to watch Walton in action in this one minute clip, here's what to me was the highlight of this embarrassment ESPN found worthy of promoting: "The NBA represents hope, the NBA represents peace, it represents second chances." Like, gag me with a spoon, Billy boy!
From the way he dressed and looked back when he played,I wouldn't doubt if Bill is still smoking weed by some of his stupid sayings. It's too bad because he was one hell of a basketball player. But just because he could play ball doesn't make him a good commentator.Just like too many former football players are now supposed to be all star coaches.No.They have it all wrong. Some are cut out for it,and others are not.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who's the vilest of them all? When it comes to left-liberal sportscasters, that is. Is it Bryant Gumbel? Joe Theismann? Lee Corso? Dr. Jerry Punch? good old Dick Vitale? My vote goes, hands-down, to Kornheiser and Wilbon. If you've ever watched them for even five minutes, you know. Perhaps a new Posting Subject can be initiated here ... Mr. Wassall, what thinkest thou? Yuri Edited by: Don Wassall
I vote for Chris Berman. Kudo's to Musberger. During the UM OSU game today Brent Musberger really criticized Artest about the Pistons/pacer brawl. He mentioned that Artest would have plenty of time to work on that rap album be wanted time off for.
There are so many worthy candidates for most vile sportscaster. I think Stephen A. Smith is hard to beat, especially with his glaring lack of articulation skills (kind of hard to understand a high profiled announcing job being given to someone who simply can't talk coherently). Also, Stuart Scott is as obnoxious as they come. However, I still find the white "journalists" the most irritating. Old favorite Bob Costas has always been horrible, and is still producing propaganda for our politically correct masters, albeit mostly in the non-sports "journalism" field. Sean Salisbury and Merrill Hoge have really developed a more annoying, viciously anti-white posture over the past few years, especially with their new aping of Michael Irvin & co. when they start shouting their remarks in obviously staged arguments. Hoge also now tries to put a black twang iinto his comments, which makes him impossible to listen to. To show just how fall the standards have fallen in this area, I really enjoyed Pat Summerall, when he made a brief comeback earlier this season on ESPN's Sunday night football telecasts. Back when he was a regular with Madden, I didn't really like him, so the fact he sounded so good now, especially considering how old and weak his voice is, shows you how bad the others must sound to me. Of course, those Sunday night broadcasts were sill hard to take, because Theismann and Paul McGuire are so hard to listen to. All those "let me tell you," "are you kidding me? and other quaint expressions repeated ad naseum really grate on the nerves. Those two seem to love everyone and everything in every game, throwing the "great" word around even more liberally than announcers usually do, and please don't let them broadcast a game involving Ray Lewis or Mike/Michael Vick!
Don't forget the sportswriters. Bob Ryan has to be on the list. It's too bad that Merrill Hoge is anti-white, given that he was quoted as saying that, back in his playing days, his coach told him that he didn't want a white guy to be the top rusher on his team. He should know better. During the Olympic telecast, Tom Hammond really ripped into Carl Crawford and Justin Gatlin for their showboating. "Can somebody please tell them that they're at the Olympics? Some dignity please!" It was priceless.
Yes, Bob Ryan is tough to top for anti-white bias. I would actually include anyone who's ever been on that "Reporters" ESPN show. Frank Deford is pretty bad, too, as is Tom Boswell.
Speaking of ESPN jerks, I'm sure everyone here will be thrilled to learn that Dick Vitale has just signed a contract extension with ESPN through the 2011-'12 basketball season. Are you kidding me?
The candidates at ESPN are so many and so deserving. Two who are approaching the Stuart Scott level of unwatchablility, are Mike Greenberg and Linda Cohn. Greenberg has no reason at all to be on a daily radio show (simulast now on t.v.), yet there he is, distorting reality with the best of them. Cohn is especially grating on the nerves when she lets her natural obnoxious New York accent seep through as she's shouting out the inane ESPN babble during game highlights.
I was looking over some of these old posts and came across jaxvid's,the one about Brent Musberger putting down Ron Artest, saying how he had plenty of time to promote his rap record now. After Musberger made that comment he became quite and didn't say anything briefly and when he opened up again he said"How does an intelligent athlete like Ron Artest get involved in something like that".I think that Brent thought about his original comment, figured he could be in some hot water and then changed his tune to put Artest in more positive light by calling him "intelligent".By describing Artest using that word tells me Brent got called feet.
It's pretty pathetic the lengths these guys go to to get in good with the Caste System managers. They don't want to offend anyone, and like I was told the other day, they are hated as much or more than anyone because they suck up to them all. They should just be white, and be fair, but that's too much to ask from the most major broadcasters and networks.
There's big write-up on Stephen A. Smith in this week's Sports Illustrated. He also has a daily one hour show on ESPN now. I turned it on for a couple of minutes tonight. He has the obligatory worshipful studio audience, which gives him a prolonged, roaring standing ovation when he comes out. I then flipped to ABC News for a few minutesto see what their top stories were and then went back to Smith's show. He was finishing an interview with a hockey expert about all the player movement in the NHL the past few days. He then stated several times, in his ultra-arrogant speaking style, that he has no interest whatsoever in hockey. The camera then panned his multi-racial audience as they clapped and nodded their heads in agreement. That was enough for me. . .
Never heard of the guy, and I'm glad I don't know him. I rarely watch ESPN outside college football season, maybe ESPN Classic every once in a while, but thats it.
The whole point of Stephen A. Smith is for him to annoy you. I find the guy slightly annoying also, but he breaks some seriously big NBA stories, so at least his contacts might be good. A white guy could never get away with saying something like: Could you imagine John Kruk saying "nothing beats a white woman"? He would be hung out to dry.
I wonder just how many white fans he does annoy. From the SI article: "Yet for all the anger directed toward Stephen A., to walk into a basketball arena with him is to see a vivid outpouring of respect and love from fans and some players -- not quite the buzz that greets Jay-Z when he arrives courtside for a Nets game, but considerably more affection than, say, fellow ESPN reporter Jim Gray will ever generate." You can bet that at least 95 percent of the fans who "pour respect and love" on Smith at NBA games are white.
