Announcer bias

I was a bit upset at the announcer bias in the St. Louis/Houston game. After Pujols hit a homer in the 8th the announcers fell all over themselves talking about what a great player we was. When Rolen followed with his homer, his 2nd of the game, all they had to say was: it will be tough to pitch around Pujols now. Even after Rolen had did something great they still had to make it all about Pujols.

Yeah, that's the way it is EVERYWHERE. Praise heaped upon
the darker folks, while White success seems to be an
embarrassment, or at the very least, overlooked. Hell, it seems
as if MLB and their media cohorts are overlooking the obvious
drug use by non-Whites in order to speed their success along,
while seemingly keeping a bit more of an eye on Whites. If a
black or latin player gets popped, then any story that comes
along will find some way to work a White player's name in.

The useful idiots in the announcing booths even proclaim
routine plays to be spectacular IF they are performed by a black
or brown.

One more thing on Pujols. On ESPN radio this morning, Dibble
and Patrick were remarking that Pujols is better at his age than
Ted Williams was at the same point in his career. With the
rather crappy pitching these days, not to mention lower
pitcher's mound, drugs, etc. I find that doubtful. BUT, Pujols is a
member of one of the anointed groups.

Today, ESPN radio reported that Jim Edmonds has been playing "in the shadow" of Andrew Jones and Ken Griffey Jr.

Yeah Griffey must cast a big shadow seeing as it's coming from the DL. When was the last time Griffey played over 100 games?

The clowns on ESPN are still "Caste" tigating Jeff Suppan for not scoring from third in game three. I have seen many replays, and I feel quite sure I saw Jose Oquendo mouth the word "back"as Jeff came across the bag. This caused him to hesitate, change direction, and not be able to score.Has anyone at this chat board seen the replay clearly enough to comment? WE do know that Jose could never make a mistake, and Suppan is to much of a gentleman to speak out!
