Watching the West virgnia gam today the black announcer also named andre had him as his best qb in college this year, any thoughts?

Brian Brohm is the best quarterback in college football this year. in my opinion, Woodson isn't even close!


there are numerous white qb's who are better than Woodson, i feel. but the jock sniffers always have to find some black dude to stroke on.

look for Woodson to pull Vince Young/JaMarcus Russell on Brohm this year... i just hope that Leinart, QUinn adn Brohm will prove beyond any doubt who was the best QB of their draft classes...

Woodson will be the first QB taken, unless he totally nose dives down the stretch. Look for Oregon's Dennis Dixon to also start rocketing up the draft charts. Neither is in the top 5 if race is removed from the equation. That would likely be in no particular order.... Brohm, Booty, Keller, Longshore & Flynn off the top of my head.

What about Colt Brennan of Hawaii?
I agree though, Brohm is the best QB that will enter the draft this year.

most people believe both brohm, and matt ryan are way above woodson. woodson isn't that athletic of a ob. On his best day he runs about a 4.8.
my rankings are
1. Matt Ryan BC
2. Brain Brohm UL
3. Tim Tebow Uf
4. John David Booty USC
5. Colt Brennan UH

I would maybe put Woodson I my top ten. I just think he needs to improve his speed. I reminds me another Ryan Leaf.

Woodson is more of a drop back passer. He'll scramble once in a while but he will not beat you with his legs. He does throw a decent ball. He is the only african-american (I think he is mixed though) QB playing major D1 ball with a real chance of playing pro as is right now (Dixon might but just needs to work on a few things and White could but would be more of project maybe even a WR.). With that being said, there are alot of QB's who are way better than Woodson.

yeah, i don't see White being a QB in the NFL, but you never know. haven't seen much of Dixon so i wouldn't know about him, but Woodson is more like Jason Campbell than Vince Young. still, undeserving black QBs shoot up the boards on the draft day one way or another, so i won't be surprised if he gets taken real soon.

all the throws i saw on the espn highlight (which to be fair was only a couple) looked like floated balls that if defended right, or if the wr hadn't made a very nice play, would have been picked or broken up/incomplete

I have been unimpressed with Woodson so far. He would probably be ok in a west coast type offense for some NFL team, but as far as his ability to stretch the field, Brian Brohm has him beat in spades. I watched the Louisville/Kentucky game last week and there was no question that Brohm was the better QB. It was only by the graces of Louisville's piss-poor defense that Woodson was able to accumulate any type of decent stats whatsoever.. especially with his dink and dunk style of play. If Woodson is picked in the draft above Brohm, that seriously might be it for the NFL for me. I don't think I could support a league where your draft status has more to do with what color you are, rather than your merit (as if it isn't that way already)

Woodson struggled mightily yesterday against the Razorbacks who have probably THE worst secondary in the SEC. his yardage total ended up looking good because of a long desperation bomb late in the 4th quarter, but unless he was having the worst day of his life then ALL the hype is ridiculous. this guy simply is just a decent college quarterback.


Woodson's numbers against the Hogs: 21/39 for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns. not bad, but against the Hogs' atrocious secondary, you'd think "the best quarterback in the country" would've looked a lot better.

A person to root for is for Kentucky's white WR Dicky Lyons, Jr. He is the solid #2 receiver for Kentucky and hopefully will have 1000 yds. receiving. His dad rushed, kick returned and punt returned for 1000 career yards at Kentucky. Was a all-metro performer in High School in New Orleans no less. Runs the 100m and 200m for UK and also won his 100m district meet in High School. Played on the golf team in H.S. and was on the Honor Roll. Good luck to Dicky!

we've talked about Dicky Lyons quite a bit.

he is the both the fastest and most sure handed receiver on the Wildcats, but somehow he isn't the featured wide-out. in fact, he runs mainly underneath routes despite his deep speed. weird.

I was watching the NFL network yesterday and lo and behold the Woodson nutswinging has already started. Mike Mayocks top 5 QB's looked something like this

1. Matt Ryan
2. Andre Woodson
3. Brian Brohm
4. Erik Ainge
5. Chad Henne

Andre Woodson isn't even a top 5 QB, let alone better than Brohm. I just love it how these caste worshipers find any excuse in the book to hype up black QB's and undervalue white ones
