Alexander won gold in athens at the Super Heavyweight
Division. He is very talented although he is actually
25 years old.I believe his record as of now is 37-4.
He will be one to watch although he is alot smaller
than Klitschko. He is only around 6'2 and 225 pounds.
I wish him continued luck.He is a aggessive fighter.

Alexander Povetkin is another in a growing line of very good fighters to come out of Eastern Europe.Watch out for Ruslan Chagaev, Taras Bindenko and Alexender Dimitrenko!

Another Russian heavyweight is Denis Boytsov he is only 18 but a real prospect. The Russians lost 20 million in WW2 .They have been made teak tough by cold weater, wars, unrest, lack of food. Now there given a chance to compete for big money in hockey, basketball and boxing. You can bet there going to be hard to beat. There are no food stamps in Russia, every men must serve two years in the Russian army. All the men in the army are taught Sambo there system of self-defense.They have a gene pool that can produce very big strong men.Look for them to make huge inroads in boxing in the very near future.

Russians have always been good athletes. This is a little off-topic but anyways, shortly after World War 2 hockey officialy became part of the Russian sports federation. In 1954 their national team entered the world hockey championships for the first time and they ended up beating Canada for the gold medal.Believe it.
