Nice little interview with AJ McCarron talking about over rated 5 star recruits; put on a pedestal by recruiting services....

We can take issue with the NFL until your blue in the face...the racist HS Recruiting Services is where the Caste System takes a strangle-hold ! AJ McCarron echoes what I & some others of CF have been saying...most of these DWF's have never played a sport & are going to dictate endless list of HS Football talent?

McCarron: ‘In the end, success was our killer’

"I think that's one of the things that is wrong with recruiting out of
high school," said McCarron. "You have guys who have never played the
game of football rating these guys that they are a 5-star, because
they're sitting behind a computer screen watching their highlight film.
Well, their highlight film is supposed to be good, the last time I
checked.
That's the kind of thing that ticks me off about recruiting and
when these kids come in and they're 5-stars and they expect to play
right off the bat. It's a little entitlement and when they don't play
off the bat, they get a little ticked off and they don't want to work."

Even if they watch the players in person, most of their judgment is based on walking up to the player after the game is over, or seeing the player at a combine. Scout.com was started by Jamie Newburg, and continued by Scott Kennedy. Neither of them played at even the high school level. They were and are 100% marketing. It's all crap, and has been for years or decades. The amazing thing is that college coaches use the services. The DWFs don't think so, but it's true. It's a two way street. A Rodney Garner or a Trooper Taylor talks to some half-wit at Rivals or Scout, and it becomes gospel to fans and coaches alike. These are not smart people.

Geez, most of the considerable fan base of the major college programs live and die with those rankings. In Ann Arbor there is a radio station that devotes broadcast time every day of the year to the goings on in the recruiting process and breathlessly reports the "star" rating of each and every recruit. There are message boards a hundred times the size of CF that are followed loyally all year round with the various commits and goings on in the world of the various juvenile delinquents that are funnelled each year into the multimillion dollar business of amateur football. It is quite depressing. Especially as it is the foremost tool in disfranchising the White prep football player. Some kid with a lawyer father ought to sue those bastards for the clear "disparate impact" they have on the sport.
