The Pacers Jermaine O'Neal says that making the age limit 20 and 3 years out of high school required is racism. WTF is this guy thinking? You know what its just another crying black guy that shouldnt open his big dumb lips. I mean come on how is it racism? What about Darko hes only 19 so how would it be racism? Oh well guys another dumb guy speaks out and he had the nerve to say that the NBA is racist against Blacks. My God this man has issues. What does he think the average black guy will either be shot and killed if he doesnt enter the NBA before hes 20? Does he think the average black guy is to dumb to finish high school? Oh well thats life in the NBA.

These quotes are hilarious

"As a black guy, you kind of think [race is] the reason why it's coming up."

in the NBA?

"You don't hear about it in baseball or hockey. To say you have to be 20, 21 to get in the league, it's unconstitutional. If I can go to the U.S. Army and fight the war at 18 why can't you play basketball for 48 minutes?" O'Neal said.

It's sad that it's not 100%. Basketball player's need to develop, and since they're no minor leagues like baseball, and hockey. College is the best choice to develop the necessary skills to play up to the pro level. I see nothing racist about it. Edited by: Bear-Arms

After hear thiose comments i now agree with stern's decission, because i don't want these guys coming out of high school to be as dumb as O'neal is. Mayber they will decide to go to college and learn to speak correctly.

Isn't O'Neal the same guy who practically cold *******ed a fan in the Pistons/Pacers melee. The media has pretty much denounced his thoughts on the age limit/racism idea to their credit. But I have noticed they have also gone out of their way to praise Jermaine as a thoughtful nice guy. Uh ,when where? Anyway the age limit is plain stupid but lost in the shuffle is each sport has different variables so for O'Neal to compare basketball with say tennis is ludicrous. Basketball does not have a minor league so colleges serve that purpose per say. Same as football. Baseball has a minor league deep and rich in tradition.Tennis and golf are individual sports and in case O'Neal hasn't been paying attention there are limits on young players. Maria Sharapova could not play as many tournaments as say a Serena Williams last year due to age restrictions. O'Neal should think about a couple of more realities before he shoots off his mouth. When he is an aging player will he want his job taken by a 13 year old Croatian? Wouldn't that be justice served on a dish nice and hot.
